Hi all,
I just wanted to know if there is going to be anymore production vacancies at Castle Bromwich or Solihull for new applicants.
A friend of mine who works at cb said jlr would start recruiting again in August. Is this true?
Also he added he gets an hourly rate of £14 an hour and averages 36 hour a week. so good to be true. Excellent pay.
If anyone has any information weather this is correct or not please do let us know....
Thank you All0 -
Yes there are new jobs coming at CB in the near future, but don't know if they will re-open the recruitment process or if they have enough people waiting who have already completed the process. Just keep an eye on the Manpower site for more info.
Standard rate pay is about £10.50ph, I think, but you can earn a shift premium which will depend on which shift you are on. There is also a £30pw attendance allowance which is payable from week 13.0 -

Hi,
At Solihull where I am at least, it's £14 per hour on the night shift. Your hourly rate changes depending which shift pattern you are doing at the time, so you could do a month on straight days and get the £10.43 (I think it is) basic, then do a month of permanent nights and get £14 per hour, etc etc. There's about 4 or 5 different hourly rates for various shift patterns, o/t days etc and your pay is week in hand and reflects what shift you were on that particular week. When you first start your shifts change around while you're trained up but eventually you should settle on a regular pattern. Hope that helps and makes sense. I've just come on with 50 others and we're all headed for the new body shop, and there's loads more building work onsite so there's bound to be plenty more new staff hired over the next couple of years. Good luck everybody0 -
Has anyone heard anything yet? Still pretty bored of waiting lol0

Nope, not heard anything yetKeep hearing it will be some time in or around august though. It's crap I know but, there's not much else you can do apart from, keep hounding Manpower!! lol I've just been sending them the odd email and, making sure my name is still in the hat. I don't think it's a matter of "if" they call us but, "when" they call us mate!! Hang tight
