Iv been at CB since september, and for anybody who is thinking of attempting to cheat the drug screening i wouldn't bother turning up. You can seriously hurt or kill someone if you work under the influence particulary in BIW, it is a very dangerous environment and you are using heavy industrial machinary, aside from building 100k vehicles. Also, since september random drug and alcohol screening has been taking place across the plant consistently, I myself have been tested. i know of two people from our block who have been fired after failing.

I went last Thursday as well, just got an email this morning saying:

Thank you for attending the manual and on-line assessments to work for Manpower at JLR West Midlands.

Please be aware that we have had a high volume of applicants. You will receive call detailing the next stages in due course.

Not too sure if I have passed or failed from that response?

    Have you received anything yet?

You have passed, i had the same e-mail i then recieved a phone call the same evening to arrange an interview
  • Hi my son received an email at the beginning of the month informing him that he had passed all stages of the interview process and that due to the high level of applicants would be in touch if he had a position. Can anyone shed any light on this, does this mean he stands a high chance of getting a job or not? He has tried ringing Manpower and has been given an email to email Manpower at Jaguar Castle Bromwich. Is this standard procedure as well?:(
Many thanks for any advice given.

Hi mate Well done seems like you have passed:T:T:T.

    OH recieved this e-mail:

Thank you for attending the manual assessment to work for Manpower at JLR West Midlands. We really appreciate the time you have put into your application.

Unfortunately on this occasion we are unable to progress your application further.

    Kind Regards

    Manpower @ Jaguar Land Rover

The weird thing is though they sent the invite to assessment to a different email address and the rejection e-mail to a different e-mail address he applied to JLR about 18 months ago from email address no.2

Oh well we've learnt how to "Keep Calm & Carry On",:mad:
