Simond224,
How long have you been waiting?
I did my interview a week ago today, I passed everything I did the brake box in time and I'm very confident I passed te magnet test, I passed the drugs test and interview went well. I've only been waiting a week and already if feels like longer. I thinks it's wrong how they keep people waiting for weeks on end, we were asked if we had to give notice and as I'm unemployed I said no, but at this rate I'm gonna have to get some sort of job and then drop it if and when jag phone me!
Also the email that everyone recieved after the interview stage which states
Dear Kraig,
Thank you for attending your recent interview with Manpower for our vacancies within Jaguar Land Rover Castle Bromwich.
We are very pleased to inform you that you have successfully completed all stages of the recruitment process.
As you can imagine, we have a high volume of candidates interested in our JLR vacancies.
Therefore we will be looking at your overall performance throughout the process and will contact you to inform you if you have been successful in securing a position.
We appreciate your patience during this time.
Best Wishes
Manpower @ Jaguar Land Rover
They could at least let you know IF you have been successful, after all I could we waiting months to find out that I wasn't actually good enough!
Just my view on things I guess I'm a little less patient that some people on this forum, still I have my fingers crossed and wish everyone the best of luck.0 -
Hey guys! Sorry i never replied to a few of you! been so tired this past week!
So, my first day I was thrown into the deep end! it was very daunting but i must say everyone there are so friendly, theres a few that are hard to deal with, but youve just gotta take it with a pinch of salt!
All of the Leaders are kind and patient. The people who train you will take you through it one step at a time, every mistake you make will be taken softly, they will show you where you went wrong, show you again how to do it and eventually you'll get there, when you first start you're going to think its impossible to do the tasks if the time you get.. (if youre in t+f anyway) but after about 2-3 days you see how much youve improved.. its still a tough job, its a graft! Be prepared for pains in the morning for the first few days.
ive finished my shift now and ive gotta say im loving it here already, once youve got over the bit of learning your task, its just improving the speed, and you can still have a laugh with everyone there..
Also, the D block where i work at is only one shift atm, and is moving onto 2 shifts, which requires around a couple of hundred new people, unless people are starting soon, i think they'll still need people to cover those positions!
I had to give 2 weeks notice, and i actually missed the first phone call! So i had to wait again.. in total around 2 months! But just be patient, the only thing i can suggest is to phone each week and ask about start dates, (this is what i was told to do by one of the Manpower telephonists), atleast then if they have start dates you can keep your fingers crossed!
Good luck to everyone whos waiting!0 -
Hi everyone , I had the email on the 7th September stating that I was successful and a week ago I had a similar email stating that they will be recruiting in the next 2 months and please be patient I have not had any more info stating that I have not got the job . It's just a case of waiting and I believe everyone who has had that email have not been contacted yet stating they were not successful so it's like the email stated ... Be patient ;-)0

I started Monday at Land Rover in trim & final, as mentioned its hard graft! and you to get achs and pains before, after and during work as your on constantly grafting non stop, moneys good but you earn it!
People on my zone are all top guys, have a laugh and even though iv been there 4 days it feels a lot longer.
Good luck to all those waiting, when you start you WILL find it hard but keep at it!0 -
