Thanks, that is the most promising lead so far. Will look into it. But do you pay them on the spot or have to deal with paperwork? Thanks0

Been with them, on and off , since 1984. Had a couple of claims over the years...all sorted OK. Sometimes let it lapse if I get a new car as they come with AA or RAC cover for a year or whatever (Hyundai give you five years!). Had a couple of callouts with both AA and RAC and they were OK too...it's just that AutoAid is cheaper when it comes to taking out cover which you're paying for yourself.
Just be sure you can pay the call out costs.
Probably not so good if you have an unreliable car that keeps breaking down every other week....but even then the AA or RAC will eventually get fed up with you.0 -

You pay on the spot. I've used them once and my wife once. Mine was about 3 miles from home. Their agent attended quickly and got the car going. My wife's was at a motorway services about 120 miles from home and wasn't a roadside repair job. Once again their agent attended quickly and towed her home. I've been with them for a few years now and am happy with the cost / service received.0 -
We have been with Drive 24/7 for a few years. Never had need to call them out. However they are very efficient at collecting the annual direct debit. I'm hoping the same will apply if I do need their services.0

Has anyone used Start Rescue? Have done a comparison on breakdown and they have quoted a decent price but wanted to see if anyone had any experience of them. They have a 4.4/5 score on Review Centre. One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170

I got a renewal notice for £41 from Autoaid so I checked online and there they quote £39.90. Phoned them and they told me that the prices will go,yes will, not have gone, up on the 13th Nov and as my renewal date is after that they charge me the increased prices regardless that I would pay way before that date.
I asked them how much would they charge a new customer today the 4th Nov they answered £39.90 BUT if I renew and pay today they charge me the future price.
What do you think?0
