A quick calculation shows if you earn NMW full time (35 hours a week)

You would earn £220 a week, but have to pay £35 a week in maintenance (taking in to consideration the other 2 children in your household, this will be reduced further if your kids stay with you overnight one or more nights a week), then you will get apx £165 a week in tax credits

This means your house hold income will be £350 a week PLUS you will be entitled to housing (if you rent) and council tax benefit. (maybe £60 a week +, depending on your wages and rent)

Obv not exact calculations, but should be getting more than £310 a week in total.
