There is no such things as 1st class guaranteed next day delivery, so that might be the problem . 1st class 'should' be there next day but is not guaranteed. If you want guaranteed delivery then only special delivery will do.tombruton87 wrote: »I wouldnt mind the price hike if they actually delivered on there promises.
I buy pretty much everything off the internet, I will actually go out of my way not to use people that use royal mail. So lets say I buy something that is 1st class guaranteed next day delivery it doesnt come next day. However royal mail dont consider it to be late until it 15 days past its expected delivery date. That is a joke!!!!
We need to take control of this county and get rid of the 90% crooked and disgusting politicians who are mainly all there on who they know and are mostly stupid and uneducated. PS having a degree is not education it taxation!
Watched question time the other week and the panel was asked should we become a republic, we already are a republic and none of them understood this. Am I the only one?
60 pence to send something from Ashford to Aberdeen is fantastic value! What I DO think the RM need to do is regionalise postage - so the further you send something the more it costs, as ultimately it uses more fuel/carriage costs.
I'm also still waiting for Tesco's to launch their own postal service - a "post office" in every tesco's would be really handy (well, where I live it would where there's one on every corner)
The USA postal system will deliver a "first class" letter for less than 30p, admittedly it has a reputation of offering nothing that is a "first class" service, but at least it is cheap and the country is huge.
There is very little these days that requires "next day" delivery now that we all have "electronic" communication.
The only time I had a need for a fast reliable service as an alternative to Royal Mail was in Autumn 2009 - when the postal workers, especially in London, were reducing the service to chaos, and I could not risk getting something "stuck in the system".

you realisae the 'alternative' you just linked to would be delivered by RM?
Also RM used to charge 30p,they had a monopoly just like the USA.
that would be the massivly subsidised USPS looking to make massive cuts.0 -

So why did the English solicitors set it up and then flog it off ?
Why was it bought by a now struggling hedge fund ?
Why does it own "Nightfreight"?0 -
