They dont get a penny for signing people up as distributors.

You really should check your facts before posting.;)

    UW Distributor.

You should learn to read - and understand what is written! Start by looking up 'semantics'!

I stated they do make money from signing people up as distributors. Why else would they be so keen to sign up distributors?

They can derive income from those people. Obviously they don't get a cash payment just for the act of signing them up.

The sales structure of UW is based on a pyramid, with the lower tiers of salesmen making money for the higher tiers.

My point was that it is not illegal, the basic commission structure is well known, so what is the problem?

The word semantic has already been used!

Why would these reps we see in the videos set up as mentors for new recruits if they don't get paid? (One of the guys makes the point that there is little chance of making it by just selling the products!)

And as far as a uw rep telling us to "check the facts before posting", what about the mentor in the uw video telling us we will be selling "the best value gas and electricity" if we join up to UW? Wouldn't the facts of that be that we would be selling the worst value gas and electricity? (As confirmed by keggs in his post over on the uw reps forum!)

The Utility Warehouse Discount Club is a BRITISH, publicly quoted company on the London Stock Market. The corporate management team, headed by Chief Executive Charles Wigoder, has been responsible for the phenomenal growth of the company over the last 10 years. Charles' previous successes prior to joining Telecom plus include the spectacularly successful growth of Peoples Phone which he launched in 1990 and which grew to 400,000 customers, which at the time represented 10% of the UK mobile phone market prior to its purchase by Vodafone. He is now applying those same skills to Telecom plus PLC, which operates the Utility Warehouse Discount Club, with breathtaking results.

UW reps cannot sign up just to spam us like this. (And this spam is misleading too!)

    eg This lie:

Even their reps (eg keggs, who says the energy prices are "the worst") admit their fuel is expensive! We reckon 20 to 30% more expensive than the cheapest!

Your objective is to sell customers just about the highest price gas and electricity in UK.

On average about 30% more than the cheapest tariff available.

So the average UK customer pays £hundreds more than they should.

I know it may appear to good to be true, but you really can reduce your bill to nothing. By using the cashback card and the customer refferal scheme you can get a full 100% off your Bill every month. Tha would be FREE Electric, FREE Gas, FREE Phone/Broadband and FREE M...obiles. Ask yourself if your current supplier offers this. peace. ryan uw distributor

    Oh Dear..
I don't want to get dragged into any turf wars, but it's after reading this full thread (over a month), that I've decided to leave UW...and this kind of spamming is a big part of my decision.
