Would that be a UW rep then?
Cant take advice from?
Cant establish as trustworthy?
You're all loaded?
Cant be established as independent?
I didn't make any distictions. I won't take advice from ANYONE who IN my opinion I can't establish as bona fide. If anyone !!!!!!!!s me, or comes across as having a hidden agenda, I discount their input. Similarly anyone who makes a point of insulting my intelligence, patronises me, smears me or accuses me of anything unjustly, their advice will be ignored. I have as yet not had that from anyone connected with UW here. I have however, had it several times so far from those opposing UW. The anti UW faction I find rude, objectionable and boring. No one from UW has attempted to sell me anything, con me or indeed bad mouth me at all. Maybe credibility can be measured on that basis Cardew? ;-)0 -
Could this be check mate?
Certainly looks like a good card and you can use it at Asda.
Well spotted.
There has been plenty of information on that card for months - including on MSE.
The point being that we should concentrate on UW's high prices and as Quentin said not let this get into a discussion on the merits of cashcards. If the UW card has advantages/disadvantages over the babee card, then you can bet your bottom dollar that The Troll and UW salesmen will want the discussion to to be on that subject as a diversionary tactic.
Don't forget that the UW card is a fairly recent introduction, The UW salesmen on this forum were making the same outrageous claims about their gas and electricity prices on the strength of the discredited Triple Value Guarantee. (TVG)
P.S.
I don't think they will accept it as 'check mate' though - they will knock over the pieces!0 -

As you are asking me a question, may I assume I am off your 'no conversation' list already?
As you are well aware, there is the facility to put posters on 'ignore list and then you can ensure there will be no conversation as you won't see my posts - I won't be offended!!
Anyway to be polite, I will answer your question.
That definition of credibility would be in line with your definition of neutrality! However why would someone from the same firm 'bad mouth' you?
Do you honestly think anyone believes your stories!!!0 -

You will never be able to establish as bona fida some one on a website forum. you, me , no one because you just dont know who they are. However you can take on board any one's remarks and then go and find out for yourself. If anyone !!!!!!!!s me, or comes across as having a hidden agenda, I discount their input. Similarly anyone who makes a point of insulting my intelligence, patronises me, smears me or accuses me of anything unjustly, their advice will be ignored.
Some people you might find offensive/rude/disrespectful/patronising etc... but that still doesnt mean they are wrong.I have as yet not had that from anyone connected with UW here. I have however, had it several times so far from those opposing UW. The anti UW faction I find rude, objectionable and boring.
That is only your perception and interpretation. Your views, remarks and comments have been scrutinised that is all. Just like mine and every one elses on this thread. No one from UW has attempted to sell me anything, con me or indeed bad mouth me at all. Maybe credibility can be measured on that basis Cardew? ;-)
I disagree. Just because some one helps you, doesnt make them your friend and just because some one does not help you, doesnt make them your enemy.
Speaking of the anti UW faction, I for certain am not anti UW but I am pro money saving. I dont think any one has said do not use UW but what has been said is dont just take verbatum what a UW rep has to say, go and look at all the options, check comparison websites and make sure you get the best deal for you cash. Freedom of choice, personal choice and what is right for the individual are phrases that come to mind. do your research and you will find that for the over whelming majority UW are not the company for you.
Here is an interesting articlefrom MoneySupermarket about a couple who left UW and saving over £421 on their annueal utility bills. Click here
Another interesting forum entry about UW on the moneysupermarket website about how UW distributors try and tout for business thus then getting the forum page locked. It made me smiled how the reps were refered to the unfair trading regulations and asked to pay particular attention to the section "misleading actions"
Here is the link for the forum, here is the link for the unfair trading regulations here
Looking at reviews made me smile too, they are either extremely positive or very very negative. here

That means UW are only 28.4% more expensive. However that article was over 3 months ago and since then there have been several cheaper tariffs introduced so in all probability they will save much more than £421

I posted extracts from that forum on here recently. The long post is from our very own Troll.

Anyway what qualifications do you have to post about such matters? and how do we know we can trust you;)0 -

Please yourself, couldn't give a nick mate. Obviously you've never heard of a rhetorical question though. :laugh:0 -
If people with average gas/electricity consumption knew they had to spend approx £8,000pa in shops that accepted the UW card just to recover the extra UW charge them for their gas and electricity, how many do you think would make the 'informed decision' to have UW gas and electricity?
Do you believe that no person, other than Utility Warehouse distributors, can benefit by being Utility Warehouse customers?
I am a Utility Warehouse independent distributor and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I have shown on this thread that I pay Utility Warehouse less for my gas and electricity than I would to any other company or combination of companies. I do this in the way that I choose. At least one independent person frequenting this thread found that the overall deal worked for him too. Just because it does not fit in with your wants, does not mean to say that a lot of other people can benefit too.
I have stated on numerous occasions that Utility Warehouse is not everybody's cup of tea but others can not bring themselves to admit that the company can suit a large number of people. Quentin refuses to provide a link or other evidence of a cashback card he "knows about." You refuse to answer a simple question. Do you believe that no person, other than Utility Warehouse distributors, can benefit by being Utility Warehouse customers?
