Please, please tell us how you establish, to your satisfaction, which people on an internet forum are 'trustworthy'.
Do you believe that no person, other than Utility Warehouse distributors, can benefit by being Utility Warehouse customers?

Like all UW salesmen, your aim is to discredit anyone who posts facts that show the truth about UW's high prices.
As a sales person who gets commission on what customers use each month, I do not want them leaving the company as my pay would stop. Therefore it is in my best interest to ensure that they have the full facts and make their own informed decision. I know full well that if they are not happy, they are likely to go elsewhere.

For a start it would be somebody who accepts that others have free choice. Secondly they would be prepared to admit that their way may not be the only way. That would appear to make you untrustworthy.

Of course everyone has a free choice - who has said otherwise?
All we are pointing out is that UW gas and electricity costs £hundreds more per year. Obviously the amount of extra money UW charge over the cheapest tariff will vary - but it is generally around 30% more.
Armed with that knowledge of course it is the preogative of anyone to choose whatever tariff they wish - including yourself!!!!
Your purpose and those of your fellow UW salesmen, is to sell UW products in order to earn money. To achieve that aim you have to convince potential customers into believing that UW prices are not hugely more expensive. Also to practice the same tactics to retain your present customers who are still providing you with income.
You know perfectly well that what we say about UW gas and electricity prices is factual, so your posts here are simply disingenuous and carefully designed to obscure the truth. There is no other name for it than deliberate deception!(cue - boring outrage!!!)
For instance you concentrate on Quentin's cashcard, so you can divert the discussion away from UW's high prices.
There are over 20 million gas/electricity accounts in UK. I seriously doubt if UW would prove to have cheaper gas or electricity for a single customer. However if it makes you happy I will concede that there might be one household in the 20 million that might be cheaper with UW.
The facts are without dispute.
UW charge £hundreds a year more for the average gas/electricity customer, around 30% extra. Much as you don't like to talk about the average customer(for obvious reasons) do you deny that fact about UW prices?0 -

You continually insinuate that nobody can benefit by being a customer of Utility Warehouse.
I have always shown potential customers the price list and allowed them to make their own informed decision as to whether the company is for them or not. I do not say that your facts are incorrect, just that they are phrased to put people off even looking at what the company offers. My facts are also indisputable and show that I pay less to Utility Warehouse for my electricity and gas than I would to any other supplier or combination of suppliers. I use the pre payment card to manage this. What you ignore is, that this is not extra shopping to offset my payments, it is my everyday shopping that I would buy anyway. Another member of this forum looked at his numbers and decided to become a customer. He has a specific set of requirements and asked if there was a way of bettering the deal he is getting with Utility Warehouse. Nobody has managed it to his satisfaction and at present he remains a customer. We are all individuals, not "average" and we all have our own sets of likes, dislikes, needs and wants.
I concentrate on Quentin's cashback card because he has made it his business to try and smear me and others like me. And, unless he provides a link to it or other evidence of the card's existence I shall continue to point out the (s)he is a liar.
There are millions of people who shop at Sainsbury's and the other stores serviced by the Utility Warehouse pre payment card and many of them could benefit by becoming customers. My facts too are without dispute.
And still you refuse to answer one simple little question:- Do you believe that no person, other than Utility Warehouse distributors, can benefit by being Utility Warehouse customers?

1. Well at least you concede that my facts about UW prices are correct - which is the main aim!
2. You know perfectly well that "allowing people to make an informed decision" is a cop out.
My clever elder daughter, with several degrees, would simply take my advice (cos I know about these things!!) so I could 'sell' her UW if I wanted as she trusts me and my judgement!
3. I suspect that if Quentin gave detail of a cashcard that gave similar discounts to the UW card - then all discussion would be centered on the merits/demerits of the cashcard and not on UW's high prices.
This article in the Times gave datail of the babee card.

http://www.prepaid365.com/the-babee-prepaid-card-review-at-P365.html
This enables you to get 5% discount at Sainsburys and 7% at Waitrose(a shop I like) as well as discounts of up to 20% in other stores.
Now I have no idea of the merits/demerits of the card which I believe is connected to Mastercard. So I am not getting into any discussion on the card, and will readily concede that in all probability the UW card is superior.
4. I have readily conceded that judicious use of the UW cashcard can be beneficial. What I have pointed out repeatedly is that there is simply no point in having to spend many £thousands in shops that accept the UW card just to recover the the extra you have spent on UW gas and electricity.
If people with average gas/electricity consumption knew they had to spend approx £8,000pa in shops that accepted the UW card just to recover the extra UW charge them for their gas and electricity, how many do you think would make the 'informed decision' to have UW gas and electricity?0 -

I say, that looks rather good! Sainsburys Asda and Waitrose? Oh, M&S too!
lol does Quentin work for the Times?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

How have I "tried" to smear you and others like you?
I have explained numerous times that the uw card is not unique in getting discounts off your shopping. Your problem is you keep telling us your uw products are cheaper because you use the uw card to reduce their expensive prices. I (and others) keep telling you you should buy cheaper energy elsewhere, and then keep any discount you can get using a card for yourself!
As far as giving you a link to another card, you have requested this countless times, and I have explained why I haven't.
eg:Quentin wrote:There are other prepayment cashback cards.
This thread is for discussing uw, not to make an aunt sally for uw reps/supporters to have a go at!
The moneysaving thing to do would be to buy your utilities via the cheapest supplier, and if you want a prepayment card, get one not tied to uw. (You cannot be so helpless that you cannot find them yourself on the net!)
I see the reps now get paid a fiver for each card they sell, so clearly uw's motives with this card of theirs aren't purely philanthropic.
You are entitled to ignore that explanation, but not to say it makes me a liar!
However, your continued use of the expression "liar" just shows others who come here the type of person uw allows to be one of its reps and post continually here. Others can decide whether or not this is good. So just carry on.0 -
Could this be check mate?
Certainly looks like a good card and you can use it at Asda.
Well spotted. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Sorry, can't take advice from anyone I can't establish as trustworthy. Best of luck to anyone who tries based on the posts here. I thought this site was the place to look, but you're all loaded. The advice given can't be established as independent, so I'll not believe any of it.
Would that be a UW rep then?
Cant take advice from?
Cant establish as trustworthy?
