    Cardew,
    >>> many who switch on the doorstep inadvertently move to more expensive tariffs perhaps because they are misled or unable to accurately compare tariffs.<<<

Any person I have dealings with gets to look at the Utility Warehouse tariff booklet so that they can compare what is on offer against their current provider. I also point out that the company may not be for them and go on to explain how I get my best deal. The decision is theirs as I do not believe in pressurising anybody into buying. This has advantages for me. The customer is happy that they have made their own decision and they know that if they refer somebody to me, these others will be treated like adults too.

Do you believe that there is not one person who can benefit by being a Utility Warehouse customer?

I am a Utility Warehouse independent distributor and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

Nice post, NigeWick. I genuinely think Ofgem's new ruling will impinge on the Big 6s dubious tactics (including their often disgraceful doorstep lies) much much more than it will on UW, but if it gives old hypocrite Cardew a warm Xmas glow to think UW will be going bust next year then who am I to spoil his fun? :p

PS About the bolded bit: has Cardew ever acknowledged this question's existence let alone actually answered it? I can see this being his 'Quentin'...

Your last post contributed just as much to this thread about UW as your other posts, but says a lot about yourself.

Now about UW's extremely high prices for gas and electricity.

How do you think their salesmen will fare under ofgem's new regulations when UW salesmen have to give a written estimate of the costs?
  • God, deluded or what?? It's already been explained why UW won't be affected by this ruling anywhere near as much as the Big 6 but don't let logic get in the way when you can rant on. My referrals came from me showing them my UW bill with the cashback discount on it and me telling them how i did it. It's not rocket science but we've already seen what's left of your grey matter goes walkies when 'discussing' UW.

    You answered NigeWick's question yet?:p

    1. Pressure is a tactic used by poor salespeople
    2. The best salespeople always convince the punter thats it's their decision to buy and that they aren't being sold too.
    3. People don't have to take gas and electricity to benefit from the cashback card so any inclusion of the card is disingenuous when comparing energy prices.

You haven't given any reason or explanation at all why UW will not be affected as much as the Big 6.

Unless you count the plaintive 'little companies like UW are not the target' as an explanation!

You just went into hyper-diversion mode!

Cardew, you old bluffer, you've yet again missed out the relevant part of my post. What's with the selective quoting?? Grow some balls for once in your life and answer the question. I quote below the (large) part of my post you chickened out of quoting. I've met some cowards in my time but you take the biscuit..

PS All I'm waiting for is your firm 'sell' rating for Telecom Plus shares and I'm piling back in. Share buying is yet another thing you are absolutely cr*p at. If the lifestyle you describe is actually genuine all I can say is you must have either won your money or inherited it.

I have to disagree with the red part of your text (why a different colour!) What if a person doesn't have a phone line or broadband? What if they are tied into a contract with another supplier? If a person spends enough at the shops listed to get a discount of their bill which makes UW much cheaper than any other supplier the cashback card simply has to be taken into account!

People on here seem to forget that everybody is an individual with different circumstances, there is no 'one size fits all solution.'

My point exactly! :T  I have yet to come across anybody who could be described as 'average' and the way they pay for these household expenses.

If UW can help them to save money, I tell them. If UW can't help them to save money, I tell them that as well. I don't think you can say fairer than that.

All of my customers are saving money compared to their previous suppliers. Some have the cashback card, some don't.

The problem arises here, when Cardew, Quentin (who I would suggest is a failed and embittered UW distributor ;)), Mech at al imagine that everybody elses circumstances are the same as theirs.

    Which of course, they aren't.

So your personal experience with your referrals answers the question on how UW IDs will fare under the new regulations?

The Hon Charles' reservations and objections have no substance - he obviously should have come to you for re-assurance. Leave it to Carmine is the cry isn't it?

Come now carespress, you will have to try harder!!

I answered your question. Now how about answering mine. It really is quite simple.

Do you believe that not one single person (other than a UW distributor) could benefit by being a Utility Warehouse customer?

I am a Utility Warehouse independent distributor and the views I express may not be shared by the company.
