Look at the title of the thread. It says 'Utility Warehouse'. I'm posting about Utility Warehouse. What's your problem?

I thought it was some kind of religeous discussion forum...
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

I simply want the truth - is UW an elaborate "pyramid selling" type of business, or does it really offer a genuine alternative?
It is a genuine business out to earn profits for its shareholders, pay staff and allow people to earn money from offering the company's services. On the last bit, as a for instance, because I do not earn much from my business, you could sign up under me and soon be earning more than I do if you put the effort in. That means that the "system" does not have to look like a pyramid.

Utility Warehouse prices are not the cheapest. Having said that, because I use their pre payment card to good effect, I pay less for my utilities than I would with any other company or combination of companies. What they offer may not suit you, but it fits in with the way I have always shopped.

I am a Utility Warehouse independent distributor and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

So are a lot of other posters on this thread; especially the UW salesmen. They only have Vinny and The Troll providing the embarrassing contributions!!
  • Thank you to everyone who tried to answer my question. Somehow I'm not sure I should have stumbled upon a debate for the Christian faith. As a card carrying church goer, I'm a bit boggled about how Jesus finds himself up for discussion here but hey, it's Christmas. Blessings to you all!

If you saw the videos of the UW conventions with the preaching to the mesmerised congregation of UW salesmen, you might understand!

Makes a sermon from Billy Graham to Bible Belt Baptists seem low key;)

It was sunday as well. Not allowed to discuss work on a sunday. I think Jesus would use UWDC. You might think it sounds a bit fishy but Jesus was the ultimate Money Saving Expert, who else could at no cost feed 5000 people. Makes Sainsburys buy one get one free look like a rip off. I think Jesus would also be a Distributor, after all he made bread from his and others energy. He is a natural supplier of energy.

Forgot to keep you updated. 2 more customers today. Signed the Priest, must be Christmas.

Long term customer of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club. I became a distributor because other people seem to like it.

I've just signed the Methodist minister from a neighbouring village! Fascinating chap. Nice to have some genually interesting and open minded conversation. He was being royally screwed by one of the Big 6!
