It is the classic tactic of 'carespress' and others.
About the only thing going for UW is an attractive cashback card. Their prices are extremely high, so a diversion tactic is neccessary.
So we get 'carespress' urging me to divulge details of my cards, or going into a frenzy about Quentin's card.
Avoid the important issue of UW's extremely high prices at all costs.0 -
There is a danger that this thread will become a discussion on the merits of a cashback card and deflect attention away from the main issue which is UW's extremely high gas and electricity prices.
I don't wish to appear pedantic, but this thread is, in my interpretation, to discuss all things UW and is not specifically intended to be just gas and electricity. The fact that it is in this area is purely one of historical convenience. This is a special area for the discussion of Utility Warehouse (Telecom Plus).

LOL. So, even though in my case use of the cashback card allows me to purchase my gas and electricity at a tariff that is actually cheaper than what Rupert has been paying for over 4 years on his fixed rate...I'm not allowed to discuss it?
:rotfl:
I know he claims to have a sibling but my contention would be that Rupert is an only child.
I'm sure if BG were to launch a similar initiative (after all they've recently copied UWs lead in allowing punters to pay for exactly what they use each month even if not those on their cheapest tariffs, lol) he'd be chomping at the bit to discuss it in this very forum. Oh well, it all adds to life's rich tapestry,I suppose.
Still waiting for those super duper net speed readings he gets in those other world regions...Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

Here's a couple:
1) Only a uw rep could spin a credit (calculated at 5% less costs/charges on specific spending) into 31%!
2) And as uw energy works out around 30% more than the cheapest, it seems your poor brother has to make a lot of effort for nothing!
Forget your sibling rivalry and suggest he has a read through here.
Maybe he will see he should be getting his energy somewhere else, and keeping his cashback on his card use for himself!0 -
Put simply, Quentin can't find anything wrong with UWDC so he makes things up. He lost the argument against UWDC long ago so has to resort to this.
He makes false statements against UWDC and Distributors and then has the audacity to ask people to prove him wrong.
Quentin's UWDC beating Cashback card, any proof of that. Sorry to keep bringing that up but I still haven't seen any proof of that or any of his other false claims against UWDC. I have searched as well as have many others. Anyone reading this thread quickly realises not to take his posts seriously. There are just too many false statements to count. How can he keep face for such a long period of time and expect to be taken seriously.
Long term Utility Warehouse Discount Club Customer and then became Distributor because I found them to be very good.Quentin's Cashback Card?
Let no man, advert or internet site tell me where to get my Utilities0 -

Despite your attempts, and those of the massed ranks of UW apologists, to discredit Quentin, his posts have far more credibility than any of the UW salesmen.
It is indicative of your failure to challenge the validity of virtually all of his points, that you have to concentrate on a statement he might, or might not, have made about a UW beating cashcard. I am surprised you don't resort to the childish practice of mentioning it in your signature. Edit - sorry you do include the childish remark - I thought it was just the Troll.
The inescapable fact is that UW gas and electricity prices are just about the highest in UK and customers can save £hundreds by getting their gas elsewhere.
So about the Guardian article that you claimed was full of errors, no backing this up I note. However you have the time to leap into print on Quentins Cashcard - safer ground eh!0
