No problem at all. Just taking another opportunity to draw everyones attention to how ridiculous you actually look in skulking around on private Forums in your self-appointed 'whistleblower' role.;)

TBH when I read the security protocols to gain access to the networker plus site I thought I had inadvertently stumbled across the Pentagon forum. Are you embarrassed by what you discuss? Is this why one or two work so diligently to get this thread deleted?

Doesn't bother me one bit what people see/learn there. All there is to see are various sales techniques that can be used. I'm confident there are thousands of other companies who use similar ideas.

My amusement is with Quentin's over-excited 'whistleblower'-style role. He refers to the site constantly, clearly knows his way around it, when really there is no need for anyone who isn't UW-affiliated to visit it. Makes him look a bit sad really.

Quite happy to see the way uw reps are trained how to take advantage of their friends, (or strangers), genuine offers of help, when really the reps don't ned true "help", but are just looking for ways to sell them uw services?

eg. How to take advantage of your friends, by asking for their help over a problem at work you need to "practice on":

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFyaiWOSXrE&feature=channel

eg. Pretending to strangers in the street you are lost, to give you an opportunity to hand out business cards and promotional literature as a "thank you".

eg. Keggs scheme, pretending to thank people for parking considerately next to him by leaving his personal message on his promotional card on their cars, when he actually chooses where to park himself so that he can put these cards on both the cars he parks between.

jimexbox mentioned this thread. In actual fact, in conventional forum terms, it's far too long now. 408 pages is too many really.

This thread isn't anything like a "conventional forum" thread - it's here for the reasons stated in post #one!

And it's your choice to have 408 pages! Alter your settings and you can get it down to a mere 204 (at the time of this post!)

I'm rather confused now, (I blame the pregnancy hormones!!) But how have I not been getting free utilities from UW for the past few months. I have paid nothing for my gas, electric, phone etc due to my spending habits in Sainsbury's. My direct debit for September was zero, but I have been using UWs products. How is this not free?

Yup, no problems at all - incidentally can you show me where either prospect you mention above has 'lost out'. The new ID is being shown ways to introduce the information to people, where is the problem in that? People have the opportunity to decline.

It's called Network Marketing, and many people who first become involved need pointers and guidance on how to get started - quite often it's through close friends and family, although when we get comfortable we can even talk to strangers! You might want to come out from behind your keyboard sometime and try it...

Firstly, to save a lot of typing, if AUWF is an accepted term for us fair minded objective posters, can we agree that PUWF(Pro UW Faction) is an acceptable term for you biased lot? ;)(joke - Keggs!!)

It seem to me that the PUWF’s sole ‘claim to fame’ is the cashback card. However it is pertinent to point out that they were still making totally unfounded claims about UW long before the introduction of the cashcard – the totally discredited TVG being the central plank of their argument.

I certainly can appreciate the virtues of the cashcard if it suits your spending habits.

However it seems eminently sensible that if you want the cashcard then you have no need to pay £hundreds more for your gas and electricity to get that facility.

However any rational argument on that issue is ignored by the PUWF. The fact that Carmine pays £233 more than the cheapest tariff for his gas and electricity - and has to spend over £5,000 to recover that sum – is dismissed on the grounds that he needs to regularly phone Uzbekistan or wherever;)(joke keggs) – despite the fact that telephone calls can be made for a pittance these days.

Indeed before Carmine became leader of the PUWF, he advocated regular switching for cashback which netted £hundreds a year whilst of course paying far lower prices for gas and electricity than the very high prices UW charge. It is not difficult to envisage a spend of over £10,000 pa on the cashcard would be required to offset those savings.

My point – get your gas and electricity elsewhere, rather than paying UW’s stupidly high prices.

Can I just add UW's other claim to fame please?! I, like others enjoy having the choice to pay monthly for our exact useage. This suits me and the way I budget.

I am pleased that you think the UW cashcard can benefit some people, can you maybe tell Quentin that!

I had a look yesterday and the cheapest tariff for me (using my reading for the last year) is now around £7.00 cheaper per month than UW, not a great saving, or enough to make me change my supplier. Though I may be convinced if Q would give me details of this other cashback card! ;)

Had any irate UW customer angry that they have been shamefully ignored in the £100 discount promotion? Or are you just keeping quiet, less knowledge is power and all that?

I have to agree that it is annoying that current UW customers are left out. I have actually sent an e-mail to customer services today pointing this out (I shall let you know the outcome of course!) But I do accept that this is how companies operate, new customers always seeem to get the best deals.

I would of thought free broadband and phone (sufficient spend on discount card applicable) Even a profit as UW refund any unused discount back, then choose a far cheaper online energy tariff would be the best money saving avenue.

Though I realise that you have already indicated that you are willing to spend whatever amount is necessary to have monthly billing. Possibly running into several hundred pounds?

This MSE forum is just a conventional forum. There's nothing particularly special about it. It's no different to many other forums on other various subjects around the Net.

How does it compare to networker plus?
