You claim that you are saving 19% against their prices. Please show us your actual usage, current supplier and tariff so that we can see how you do it.
How many times do I have to repeat myself? I could if I wish give you any combination of gas and electricity kWhs to reach any desired figure. That I'm afraid is the nature if the internet. I could if I wish give you a 50/50 even split gas and electricity. Or 80/20, 90/10, 40/60, 15/85, 3/97 I could go on, get my drift? Any kWhs figure I give could be the truth or it could be fabricated. If you don't believe me now, you wont believe me then.
If you don't wish to believe my figures, which is entirely your prerogative, simply enter the official Ofgem standard user kWh into energyhelpline, 20500 gas and 3300 electricity. Even you Nige has to accept these figures. Or will you trot out the line UW customers are far from average. Which judging my the vast amount of overseas and 0870/0845 numbers they allegedly call, I'm inclined to agree with you.
So when I entered the official Ofgem figures into energyhelpline, UW were 23% more expensive than the cheapest tariff on offer. This is a fact, no matter how much smoke and mirrors you try and use to deflect attention away from this fact, it is an entirely verifiable fact by anyone who cares to replicate the above.
Do you want screen shots?0 -
Sunday Morning and I got the new UW forum set up. There's seperate areas for discussing each service, areas where customers and distributors can discuss things and ask questions, plus an area for general discussion.
The new forum will be free from the problems we have here now, so it's quite safe to post there without being jumped on by you know who.
Address is in my Public Profile
Thanks Rael.
Great news. Hope potential customers / distributors flock to it for proper advice and the chance to make comment without being ridiculed, called a troll (whatever that is - obviously mean something different from my childhood stories) and the rest of the nonsense purporting to be called intelligent conversation.0 -

Maybe it's time I re-posted my UW deal, especially now we have had 2 months to ascertain whether the expected level of cashback I originally suggested was/is realistic. I posted this on 18/9/09 and haven't had one of the AUWF take it on. These are facts, BTW, not some ridiculously concocted mileading, half-@rsed attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of the readers that are never backed up by anything as tangible as real proof.Quote:Gas 15000
Electric 4800
Phone Line Rental
Up to 24 mb broadband
Unlimited monthly download allowance
Inclusive 24/7 calls to 01, 02, 03, 0845/0870 and 10 popular Intl destinations.
Free calls to UWs CS/tech support line/cashback card top-up line etc etc.
12 paper bills per year.
Option to provide monthly meter readings and pay for exact usage.
Membership discount directory.
Pre-paid cashback card that grants 5% discount off the UW commensurate with spending at designated stores.
Option to refer like-minded individuals and eran a further discount off the bill (we have 2 referral so far so 4% further discount)
NO min. term contracts on ANY of the services I take (subject to £50 release fee on phone/BB should we leave within 12 months).
One monthly bill with ALL the services I take included on it.
Guaranteed UK-based call centre who answer very quickly (we've never waited more than a few seconds to speak to actual human being. astonishing.)
One DD.
I'm sure I've left summat out but hey ho.
Now, the charges. Total annual charge for all the above is £1447.
So far, my monthly discount from use of the cashback card has averaged £36 per month (£432 per year gross, I remember getting a lot of guffawing when I suggested a projected annaul discount of £450). Considering this will rise exponentially around December time, I think my original projection of £450 per year discount will prove conservative. I'm upping my projection to £500. Deduct the £17 annual expense of 'running' the card and we are looking at £483 net. Of course we now will also be receiving 4% discount on the starting price for referring 2 friends to UW.
£1447 - approx £55 referral discount - cashback discount £483 = £909 per year - £76/mth if you choose to pay by budget plan.
Please don't forget this figure is for gas, electric, phone line, unlimited broadband and ALL calls!
We don't envisage any surprises in the form of call charges as just about all eventualities are included (we had NO extra charges this month for calls!)
Of course, someone with exactly the same usage/spending habits as me in the same region etc etc joining now would actually pay £809 over the next 12 months.
Please don't forget this figure is for gas, electric, phone line, unlimited broadband and ALL calls!
Of course, UW is not for everyone but in the right circumstances it's an actual no-brainer.
But have a go at beating it if you can.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
How many times do I have to repeat myself?
You do continually repeat a screen shot that has no bearing on you as an individual. To be honest, that along with Cardew's quote every few pages and Quentin's assertions are akin to spam in their repetitive nature as they do add to the conversation. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

Do you believe my screenshots are an honest reflection of my projected energy usage?
If you don't, how can kWh figures make a difference? Like I've already said, I could make them up. If you don't believe me now, why believe me then? You obviously have a trust issue with me. That is why I've used the official Ofgem figures which show UW are 23% more expensive than the cheapest provider in my area.
Do you want me to start posting the Ofgem figures as these can be verified by all MSE members? I'm quite happy to take these screenshots and keep posting them. Let me know what you want me to do.0 -
Of course, all those who want to, who want to save or make money with Utility Warehouse can join. It's an alternative if you want it. Nothing is on sale, it's just for discussion. Nor can you read it without joining, it's a closed forum.
If you intend joining just to disrupt things though, or don't want to save money with Utility Warehouse, i wouldn't bother if I were you.
Thanks again Rael. Just to let the grumpies here know I've defected. So do your worst I won't be back unlike Arnie - not to post anyway. I may pop in to see how many people are still going round in circles. Could I advise the smilies to defect as well. It's much nicer.0 -
