Just been checking on energyhelpline (yes, the MSE recommended switching site, lol) and this £100 discount promotion certainly puts the cat amongst the pidgeons for pretty low users of gas & electric. There are consumption figures where UW would actually be numero uno if the switching site factored the discount into the 'bald' figures. They won't of course (and I'm personally glad about it) as it requires signing up to one telephony product but I hope it's at least mentioned in the notes (the cashback card never is, of course).
Of course, line rental is just £9.90 per month (the club fee is already included in the G&E figures shown) and the punter would then get evening and weekend included calls to 01, 02, 03, 0845/0870 and those international destinations and 24/7 included calls to other club members. Even without taking out the cashback card this could prove to be a financial no-brainer for these folks.Call me Carmine....

I think a person with similar figures to me could well find UW to be the cheapest (or very close!) I may go on a switching web-site later and have a look, I shall of course post my findings!
Just out of interest why would the switching sites not show the discount? Do they show other utility companies similar discounts?:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Carmine your 'vault face' is spectacle to behold. You have spent a prodigious amount of time critising Eon for not giving a discount on your final bill if you choose to leave. Then UW introduce a one off discount ignoring loyal customers. A discount that requires you to have 3 UW services, and will not be paid if you leave before 12 months. And you praise this shocking decision! You are a man for all seasons...
I'm not sure who should be more embarrassed, Rael being caught telling blatant untruths, or you who changes tune more than the London Philharmonic. Astonishing to say the least.0 -

Probably because you need to also take out a telephony service with UW in order to qualify for the £100 annual discount so it would potentially mislead people to show the £100 discount already deducted from the total G&E figure. I think it should be mentioned in the dialogue box but given the fact that the single most important aspect of UW for customers like me and you (cashback card) doesn't warrant a single mention) I'm not hopeful, TBH.Call me Carmine....

Jesus, it's like McCarthyism has resurfaced on here! I'm not promoting the Utility Warehouse at all, merely standing against those who tell me my decision to choose them as my supplier is wrong. I've so far been called a liar and a troll on this thread. Rather me be 'exposed', some have revealed themselves as bigotted, paranoid bullies, who think they can talk to me like i'm stuck to the bottom of their shoe. I have as much right to my opinion here as anyone else, whether they've wasted their life away making 8,000 posts or not.
Sorry I hope you didn't take my post the wrong way! I wasn't accusing you, I was just confused as Cardew accused you of being a troll and I was just wondering if you had admitted to being a UW Rep or a person with a 'vested' interest! I thought I may have missed some information somewhere.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Now unmasked as yet another UW troll; yet his confession that he has been lying on this thread, draws praise from Keggs.
No-one should be too surprised at that.
Keggs is the one who cons people with the car park trick, says he sees nothing wrong with the other exposures of how uw works (though has posted on the uw reps forum how he is unhappy that the videos are on youtube for the world to see), posts here to tell us repeatedly how happy he is at uw, but is told to take his negativity and criticism of uw away from thge uw reps forum for fear it will be used by "uw bashing forums", saw nothing unpleasant in Jimmy (top man from UW) making the so called joke regarding special needs children, and of course he now rells us that the uw is just one big family helping each other out, not really interested in selling (just "recommending"), yet pours torrents of personal abuse on the MSE "family" members here who don't agree with him!0 -
Oh, I thought you said you were a Scottish Power customer last month?
Are the Utility Warehouse bills easy to read? I've been with Scottish Power in the past and their bills might as well have been written in Swahili. Can you work out your next bill from your current one accurately if you get your meter readings?
This is Rael's post from the 11th August, it says he was with Scottish Power in the past, that could mean 10 years ago for all you know!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

So Rael wasn't a Scottish Power customer, then asked questions about UW pretending not to be a customer. This is getting very confusing. So who was he pretending to be with then?
Seems to be a lot pretending going on......0
