    My thoughts as well Janinenew. Forgetting the fact that I am an ID for the company and just a member of the club I like you would be wondering what Quentin is up to if I happened to be a new visitor.

    The truth is keggs isn't "just a member of the club".

    Those of us who have been here a while are well aware he is in fact a uw rep, but that didn't prevent him recently coming back after one of his sabbatical periods and posing as a satisfied member, without revealing he is in fact a rep (as he knows, against the site rules), which he nevertheless was happy to ignore whilst giving the impression the club gave him "far more" in non monetary benefits than he was actually having to pay because of the expensive tariffs.

    In fact he posts elsewhere about how concerned he is about the uw's energy prices, so much so he wants the uw to drop selling energy until it is "more fruitful", whilst regularly coming here to say how happy remains as a customer and rep!

    Yet he also castigates this forum when discussing it with his colleagues, cannot refer to it by name, and calls MSE "that awful site".

    But not so awful that it stops him coming here and trying on the old trick of posing as a highly satisfied customer, when in truth he is so disenchanted with uw he ends up getting warned by his colleagues not to go public with his negativity!

    There is an interesting thread just opened in this section pointing out that Ebico have just changed their T & Cs.

    Their gas has always been pretty competitive, but their electricity horrendously expensive - a fact which several of us have pointed out.

    They now have introduced a clause which states that if you move electricity from Ebico, they can increase the price of your gas.

    This has prompted one articulate critic of the company to post:

    An astute and well justified comment IMO(we agree on many things!) - no committed money saver should pay Ebico those very high prices.

    Indeed I was looking at the comparison websites and saw that Ebico electricity is not much cheaper than the prices UW charge;)

    However gas from Ebico is of course much cheaper than UW!

    Blimey, aren't you the poster who derides me the most for 'stalking' other poster's posting history? :p It's very very simple (and you know it is, of course, but like everything else you do on the thread you shroud it in your twisted logic to try and make it appear not so) - compared to being with Ebico I save almost £500 per year with UW. Fact (I know you are fond of this word so I'll say it again). FACT. I would be very interested in your attempt at debunking this one. Please stick to the facts in this case, not facts as Cardew sees them.

    PS If gas is much cheaper than UW then I'm afraid their leccy is clearly far more expensive than UW and not as you (typically) say 'not much cheaper than UW'. Explanation? On my 15000/4800 usage in Yorkshire region I would pay £41 a year MORE with Ebico just on the bald figures. Factor in the cashback card and the amazing telephony/broadband deal that qualifies me for and I think you will see why my claim above is beyond reproach. But, by all means, summon up your Cardew Debunking Super Duper Machine (TM) and attempt to debunk away.

    Just checked Ebico's website and UW are cheaper for both gas and leccy in my region (SW).

    (Posted at 4.42 am - excitement about MAD too much for you?)

    Of course there's no vendetta. But how would you describe this selection from the last month of posts of yours aimed personally at me?

    Energyhelpline states that on that bald 15000/4800 usage in Yorkshire you would pay £70 a year more on UW's cheapest tariff than with Ebico.(UW= £1252 and Ebico = £1182)

    That is of course paying quarterly. I appreciate that UW penalise anyone paying quarterly and Ebico charge the same regardless of payment method. So it pays to keep your money earning interest in your bank.

    It is pertinent to point out that with BG websaver4 you would be paying £1014 on quarterly payment - That is £238 less than UW charge.

    Strangely if you want to pay by DD(as I am sure you do!!!) the cheapest tariff for your bald usage is still £238 less than UW charge.

    There you go again! :rotfl: I would much prefer to load my cash into the UW cashback card and earn 5% gross compared with paying Ebico's quarterly figure. But, of course, you don't actually grasp the concept of the cashback card fully or you would be using one. Wouldn't you? But, hey, keep on with your mantra 'do as I say, not as I do' because anything else from you would feel ever so slightly weird.

    I guess you haven't seen the "honesty" demonstrated by uw staff revealed here.

    eg Teaching uw reps about conning a good friend that you have a problem at work and need his help to "practice" on, when really the agenda is to sign the friend up for multiple services:

    http://www.networkerplus.co.uk/videos/practice-appointment-shannon-griffin.html

    eg. Conning people in the street that you are lost so that you can give them your card as a "thank you" for helping you.

    eg. Conning people that they hgave been considerate when parking their car so that you can leave promotional literature on their car when in fact it was the rep who carefully selected where to park.

    etc etc

    Misrepresenting UW again Quentin in order to spread your rumour.

    Just wondering if you have found a link to your UW beating cashback card yet. The pot calling the kettle bottom black.

    "Oho!' said the pot to the kettle;
    "You are dirty and ugly and black!
    Sure no one would think you were metal,
    Except when you're given a crack."

    "Not so! not so! kettle said to the pot;
    "'Tis your own dirty image you see;
    For I am so clean -without blemish or blot-
    That your blackness is mirrored in me"
