You can use http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/ to compare the prices at Tesco Asda Sainsburys and Ocado(Waitrose).

There is the facility to import your my favourites file, the results I got from a selection of regular purchases,

Tesco £86 ( 86p worth of clubcard points or £3.44 in deals)
    Asda £81
    Sainsbury £91
    Ocado £103

    Just a bit of fun.

    Anyone for tennis?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

We always use mysupermarket. I do think you have to be careful with it as sometimes the 'equivalent product' it quotes in the other supermarket's basket bears no real resemblance to whst you ahve in the basket of the supermarket you are currently shopping in.

Shopping is a very personal thing, of course, because everybody has different shopping habits. We now have just about totally converted to Sainsburys basics products as, for us, they are every bit as good as the brand names - and in many instances contain ingedients that are better for your health (if you accept that less fat, sugar and salt are beneficial to health, of course).

We are not only going to save money on our utility bill but we now save a bloody fortune on our shopping bill. It's a double whammy, lol. Also, as their petrol is invariably just slightly less than their competitors or at worst same price and we also get 5% off our UW bill for that, then it's a win win situation IMO. Most important thing to someone like myself is there's no way my wife would change back now, anyway, so it's not really an option worth discussing for me, lol.

Edit: I've imported our last shop back into mysupermarket to demonstrate the differences that can occur with different shopping habits (you just couldn't get up to £100 on basics items unless you were a caterer or ran an old people's home, I reckon, lol).

    Tesco £64.54
    Asda £69.23
    Sainsburys £56.10
    Ocado £101.20

That's maybe 95% basics items and AFAICS no special offers which can skew the result further.

Keggs, you're not helping yourself or UW.
This spammer has gone against UW's own guidelines, and has come on a forum touting for customers, surely you don't condone that?
Many of your fellow IDs have agreed that there are customers who would/can not benefit from UW, yet here we have a poster guarenteeing savings - surely as bad as guarenteeing no savings.

We had a post earlier about a colleague trying to sign someone up, and the defence was "she hadn't finished her training". Why would someone without complete training be allowed to complete contracts on behalf of UW?

This (and only this) is my issue with UW - the lack of control of their sales team/IDs.

Keggs i am surprised to find that you have thanked a UW spammer who is posting all over the site, against the site rules. I understood UW took a dim view of spammers.

I'm condoning nothing. I have advised the person not to bother discussing anything here - he or she is on a hiding to nothing. But it's their choice. Nor do I intend to discuss anything further about the UW.

I don't recognise it as spam. But what do I know - I'm just a very happy customer of UW for the past 10 years and a distributor. I thanked him beacuse the information he posted was correct. If you think it was spam then do something about instead of complaining.

    Keggs - you serious?
His website is his name, he's invited people to contact him, and you wished him good luck. . Unless you were being sarcastic, that's gotta be close to condoning him.
