I have zero need for the entire UW package, doesn't fit my needs.
I have no problem with that. Will you at least concede that Utility Warehouse can suit somebody else's wants?

I am an Independent Distributor with Utility Warehouse and any opinions expressed here are my own and may not be shared by the company.

you would recommend taking gas and electric only from UW?
I showed that by using the pre payment card I pay less for my gas and electric than with two companies offered as the cheapest. That was before Utility Warehouse dropped their prices by some 2%. So, *I* would (in fact I do) recommend Utility Warehouse to people when it suits their individual requirements.

Why don't you take the cheapest energy, and have the discount for yourself instead of giving it to uw?
  • I’ve looked at Utility Warehouse for my household bills and in my case it was substantially cheaper to source individual suppliers. From what I can tell it’s a great service for someone who doesn’t want the hassle of tracking down the cheapest option but any true MoneySavingExpert would go the extra mile.

I guess however it is a different story if you are a Distributor, when you tariff is being subsidised by selling the service to others.

I know what you are saying but I would actually say UW actually is for any true moneysavingexpert who is prepared to go the extra mile. By no means for everybody, of course, but by embracing the initiatives offered, as I have shown, it can be the cheapest deal out there - even ignoring the fact that they do something none of the Big 6 would or indeed could do - send their punters monthly paper bills. It's a refereshing approach when it would appear even the paper billing tariffs from the big 6 are migrating to 6 monthly billing due to cost-saving. TWO paper bills per year, whoo-de-doo.

Due to this method of billing, I have opted out of the budget plan and will do what I have always wanted to do - pay for what I use each month by supplying the meter reading online at the end of each month and being billed for that exact usage the month after (there's no way you could do this with any of the Big 6). This negates the need for building up credits (why give them the money when it's not due?) and it also negates the chance of building up a debit balance (something which 6 monthly billing definitely has the potential to promote). Getting a paper bill each month is also a timely reminder of just how much fuel you are using and therefore can be an incentive to cut back on its use.

Carmine, you challenge is based on discredited data. I given you facts proven by an independent source that Adsa is far cheaper than Sainsburys. So you are saving nothing with your cashback card. Will you at least accept this? Unless you can provide independent data to the contrary, then I will accept they are not.

By the way would you recommend that I take my gas and electric with UW? Im thinking of switching and I would value your opinion

Adsa was 5.5% cheaper, or £2.91 for the basket than Sainsburys. Its not a trick question, but if you went with the cheapest energy supplier and shopped at Asda. Would this beat anything UW can offer?
