The company pays on sales, not recruiting.

Obviously, that would be deemed a pyramid selling scheme therefore illegal. Although doesn't a new salesman have to pay UW 200 quid? Nice work to have employee's paying you to work. Who said MLM was no different than the traditional business model.:rotfl:

The whole concept of MLM is to tap friends/family up because they trust you and would never dream that the person in front is anything but honest.
Incorrect. One finds that friends and family try and persuade a person not to go into such a business. They, like you, do not do their homework before making up their minds.

So enlighten me then. If friends and family are not a target, and dont like the MLM concept. Where do you find your customers?

P.S. I assume you have given up any pretence of not posting on MSE ever again!!! - a female's prerogative?????

    I'm not a female.

I'll post whenever I see fit. I have no interest in discussing the merits of what UW provides or doesn't or or how it operates or how is doesn't. I will leave that to others - they are doing a fine job - they don't need my input. I will stick to battling people who perpetuate the same ridiculous myths and misinformation about mnetwork marketing as & when this arises.

Nigwick was libelled and deserves an apology.

I ignore Quentin because he talks repetitive rubbish as you do most of the time and is now just plaine boring.

Like any 'normal' business customers are everywhere. There is that enlightenment enough.

If that is true, why don't you come up with a better deal with regards to Carmine's challenge then?

 I don't personally know anybody who is a distributor, I've never had a UW rep knock on my door, but I've applied to become a customer.

Another classic by keggs. So if UW never advertise their product, how do UW salesmen make sales? Wear badges upside down, pretend to have heart attack in the street or tap up friends and family? None, one, two or all three? Come on keggs I realise those inspirational 'come on down' seminars look jolly good fun, but spare us the dogged party line.

The whole concept of MLM is to tap friends/family up because they trust you and would never dream that the person in front is anything but honest. Then in turn give them the once in a lifetime opportunity to join he MLM revolution.

Another load of uneducated rubbish and misleading information.

So why would the uw "martini" presentation (which is all over the net, complete with uw logo on it, so why try and say it's not aimed at everybody?) mention the big money just for getting 3 friends to join up? And why is the presentation called "How the money works" if recruiting isn't the main attraction for getting lots of money.

It shows uw reps get paid only £5 for signing up a new gas AND electric customer, but getting 3 friends up and running as uw reps pays £1000 bonus! In line with mlm/pyramid type operations it all gets very complicated, but the upshot is that by recruiting people, who in turn recruit others in no time at all you will have money coming in from all directions (not least £6552 every month as a result of having a rake off from 13104 customers).

All a little hard to swallow when we know the average customer base per rep is just 10!

Even Carmine admits he pays hugely more for his gas and electricity than he could pay with any of the big 6.

So of course it is true that UW gas and Electricity prices are amongst the very highest in UK.
