I realise that you are not a fan of them bendtoy from your posts, but all I can say is that I have a lot of happy customers.
    I apologise about the signature.
When I filled my details in my profile it asked for a signature.
All I did was make a post - I did not personally put the signature in so why I am being told off about it I don`t know.
Are we not supposed to fill in the space that asks for our signature in the profile? Why ask for it then?

    chris
In fact your signature was put in by you and was reported back in October when you signed up as a personal gain link to a website. If you read the rules you signed up for you will have seen that no links are allowed in signatures.

There have been a number of posts removed where you didn't reveal you are a UW agent and in stated you are with Telewest for your phone and broadband.
  • I have now learned the rules of this forum I think.
    1. All traces of signature now removed- box now completely blank.

We seemingly are only allowed to attack the utility warehouse and not defend it - understood.

Why I have now to explain my personal set up to those seemingly accusing me of lying I don`t know but yes I am still with telewest for line rental and broadband. They offered me a good deal to stay when I was in the process of leaving which I am prepared to do until my local exchange is llu enabled when I will then be getting broadcall.

I have phone calls/ freephone/mobile/gas and electricity with UWDC - 5 services as I stated earlier and so my phone calls are free.

But tell me please edinburghlass why are we not allowed as UWDC agents to defend slurs on us and the company?

Is it not possible to state pros and cons?

    Why lie?

If you had bothered to read the original post in this thread you will find that Martin MSE who this site belongs to, gives clear and concise instructions about posting here about T-Plus. I cant see anywhere that says you cant respond,as one or two Telecom Plus Distributors already do,and everybody seems to get on well, and dont take posts good and bad personally. Sometimes they even agree EG Expensive Customer Service Number.

I can see no evidence that members are slurring you or the company, they are merely reporting the facts as they know them.

One of your fellow distributors actually said on this site recently

"At the end of the day, UW do have some USP's (unique selling points), but if you are happy to shop around for the best deals for each element, there will be a provider for each that will be the cheapest."

So as this site is dedicated to value for money saving you should expect people pointing out better deals,or reporting poor customer service.

One thing that doesnt help T-Plus cause is distributors regularly spamming this and other sites, despite their H/O telling them not to do so.
  • I apologise for not reading the original prepost by martin re signature.

When people use terms like "spamming" and "plugging" and "pulling the wool over peoples eyes" as in the last few posts, it does not seem to me like they are "reporting facts as they see them". These are emotive terms.

Healthy debate is good, but please do use use "facts"

In an earlier post I quoted our gas price tariff that everyone said was expensive, yet not one person has yet come back with a "fact" like what they are paying and who with.

This is the kind of information that can help people.

So please people like hurrah and edinburgh lass, as clued up posters, which company are you currently with and what price per kwh do you pay so we can get a better deal?

    Thanks
    chris

    Hi,

I am all for healthy debate and discussing the pros and cons.
I used to be with Utility warehouse.

My electricity is currently with British gas (discounted electricity tariff). I don't know whether that tarriff is still available.
I can post the prices and compare with UW if you want but I'm pretty sure BG is cheaper for my area.

I am just in the process of chaning to ebico for their gas (taking ages unfortunately).
They are a non-profit making organisation.
I believe they are cheaper for my gas than UW.

Let me know if you want any prices for comparison but I wouldn't have switched away from UW if they were more expensive.

UW were OK in my opinion.
A few years ago they were cheapest.
Now they are not necessarily the cheapest.
  • They were cheaper at one stage then other suppliers, but they were making serious losses on their energy business so they sold it to N Power. If they hadnt they would probaly gone down the pan. N power now supply their energy, they just bill it and provide customer service. The chances are that you can find cheaper suppliers then them in most cases, although they are not the dearest kids on the block. However they do appear to be the only utility company that expects you to call an 0871 number for general customer service, which doesnt help their cause.
  • Thanks lisyloo
Ebico are cheaper - their tariff is 2.55 per kwh - so everyone should definitely be recommending them.
That puts me in a difficult position as I don`t want to give up my day job!!!

I also am upset that UWDC have gone over to using an 0871 number. I shall be informing all my customers of the alternative customer service number which is still 0208 and therefore free to them if they have enough services to qualify.
Hopefully all other ids will do the same.
Next year I believe ofcom are doing away with these premium rate nos and downgrading them to local rate.

  • aiminghigh.

Its 0870 numbers that will be charged at normal geographical rate in the future(no revenue sharing) ,0871 will still be charged the same but it will be under the control of icstis the premium rate people.

Ps . Theirs no such thing as local or national rate any more.;)

    Chris,
I thought that the old numbers were being discontinued?
