There are a lot of UW representatives,
Their MSE postings are all quite sensitive,
There seems to be a lot of b_itching,
Can someone tell me whether I should be switching?0 -
My recession ditty:
I like this thread,
It makes my day,
I am amongst friends,
I'd like to say,
We all like a deal,
To save a few bob,
But does it really matter,
If you aint got a job.0 -

UKPower is a switching site,
To see down the end may give me a fright,
I am quite sensitive you see my honey,
But I'd really love to save some money.0 -
It's hypothetical because you insinuate there is something wrong with it when there isn't.
In the brochure it says
"And for your complete peace of mind, we guarantee our prices will always remain competitive compared with the cheapest standard tariffs available from the "Big 6" suppliers
The on-line guarantee includes the cheapest standard tariffs when you include the **. see previous post.
It is against the cheapest of the standard tariffs, not the most expensive as you infer. That is just an inflammatory argument to suggest that. Don't you think you should retract that as it is a contortion, a deformation. You are looking at it in a hypothetical situation that doesn't exist. That is why it is hypothetical.
The other thing is that most UW distributors don't just say it is the cheapest because they have to show people the brochure when they see them and read out the guarantee. That is what they are taught to do. To insinuate otherwise is deformation and libel.
If the regulator ofgem have checked for the past few years and agree to it as an accurate estimate then why challenge it. It simply means that if it isn't the cheapest of the standard tariff available from the big 6 then it will be competative with the cheapest. Don't use the price comparison sites because they are inaccurate with UW prices. The prices are higher than what a customer actually pays.
I think that just about wraps up everything.
As I said before why not make a poem or a ditty. Go on, just one. It's funny.
So by that reckoning there is more than one standard tariff with the other suppliers?
How do you define a standard tariff?
Npowers SOL14 comes with standard billing, I know people on that that dont even have internet access, but I guess thats not included is it?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
This thread is just so funny now and hugely entertaining! I have visions of certain people foaming at the mouth and being heavily sedated. LOL!
It's fabulous, please keep it going, reminds me of the idler forums!
And yes, yes, yes I am a UWDC distributor...............and have to confess to reacting quite badly to the Malvolios on here in the past............:('The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

I'm hoping they are entirely aware they will have to pay that tariff for at least 12 months before they will see the prices quoted on the switching sites, PC. It's a cancellation fee without calling it one, effectively...Call me Carmine....

Yep, apparently SOL14 was around £100 cheaper than the next cheapest for them anyway so wouldnt matter if they did switch away and lose that discount, they would still be paying around the same price as they would with the next one down which was BG websaver (which does have a cancelation fee and calls it one)
