    Mmmmm

Any regrets now about starting this thread on 25 March with your somewhat hysterical statement? ;)

    None at all.

It boiled down to me wanting to know if i had to involve a Santander employee (i.e. call or go in branch) or whether i could still do it online.

Some people don't like me asking questions, but ATEOTD i don't care. If you don't know - ask.
I'd rather ask to double check than not know, take a punt & find out i should've asked. Every time!

No problem at all with people asking questions - that's what this forum is for :)

My point is about the statement (not question) you made as a topic heading - which is still there today. It was inaccurate on 25th March, is still inaccurate, and is very misleading. IMHO of course.

    Ahhh the topic heading.

In that case the topic heading on 25th March was totally different. I changed it to get response. I had another thread running at the same time which wasn't getting responses, likely because it already had many replies so i guess people assumed the question had been answered. I didn't want to not receive a response here.

Aside from that, the thread title is actually NOT inaccurate. If you read somewhere towards the beginning, i was told by a Santander employee that you cannot do this, so in reality yes it's inaccurate, but it's what Santander themselves told me.

Still, it served its purpose - to get a situation addressed.

Yes but you are totally giving people the wrong impression. You cause "panic" when there was no need for it.

The fact is the thread title is completely wrong. You could have said "Santander staff told me I cannot deposit money into FRISA" which would be correct.

Well I've learned something today :D

I didn't know it was possible to change a topic heading.

Makes much more sense now

oh no, just happened to be out till late, but thought i'd also leave a quick note here to correct the misleading (previous) thread title, for the benefit of anyone still in doubt in the morning.
  • so I was considering moving some of my mothers ISA funds into Santander 1 year fixed 3.5% from Halifax - am I correct to assume that any issues with this have now been solved?
