Hi All
Had a lovely few days at my parents but had a few spends:
£6.20 in Wasabi at Kings Cross station waiting for the train on Chicken Yakisoba (sp) noodles + diet coke
28p on some Ibuprofen in Mr T
£1.83 on a bar of Lindt (unnecessary but nice!) in Mr W
£1.27 on a bottle of Diet Coke at the train station on the way back
Total: £9.58
On the other hand I haven't spent any money on dinners/lunches whilst at my parents so it all balances out I guess.I've also come home with loads of Easter eggs so that will fix me for desserts for the next week or so! :rotfl:

Just had everything explode on us this week.
My car is in the garage and may not recover (could just get scrap value for a car we bought last year for £8K:mad:), never mind the bill. OH's car just had its MOT. New boiler. Hole in roof which has to be repaired along with repairs to a wall. and I need a new car because we live in a rural area and I can't manage without (can't even get the kids to school).
Luckily I managed to spend yesterday on the phone and persuade at least some of the people to spread the bill (Nigel the plumber is a superstar - he let us spread it over 3 months:T:T) and we also have savings but this will wipe them out and then some. Never had bills for £20K in one month before:eek::eek::
However it does mean that the GC has rather gone out the window and I now want to spend as little as possible.
I've £18 in my purse until the end of the month with 5 of us to feed. I have plenty of pasta, rice and flour but nothing really to go with; off to weezl's website and blog to search for 50p a day styley recipes:o
Any suggestions would be welcome!
:eek::eek::eek::eek: Good Grief! If only there was a falling over in a faint smilie! You are living my nightmare, I drive an R reg car, the boiler's on its last legs and we have no savings. All I can say is lentils to bulk out everything and look in the world food sections for cheap chick peas etc. Have you had a good look through all the recipes on page 1? I made the bread pudding last week and it was lovely, made with all the offcuts of bread so it probably cost pence. Do you have a !id! or a!di nearby? Hope your month gets a lot better, you deserve it after that shock.
Welcome home LC, hope the holiday was fab and you've come home feeling relaxed. Sorry you have to jump right back in to real life.
I have had a few more spends and for once I got some decent whoopsies! The c00p had dried fruit reduced, so bought 3 packets of cranberries for 46p each and a packet of apricots for 52p. The kids were so pleased, they haven't had cranberries since I started doing the grocery challenge!:o
Then I spent £12 in Mr M on mainly frozen stuff that I can't get at !id! and back to Mr M this morning for apples, bananas, rolls and pasta, £3.06.
After a couple of nights of chick pea curry (35p a tin from Mr M world food section) it's risotto tonight with hm chicken stock, leftover bacon and veg.
Hope everyone has a lovely week. Don't spend too much!!:DMake £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Hi all,
Spends to update include,
£20.11 in Morrisons, mostly on YS meat to fill the freezer. Had a nice Sunday lunch with a rib of beef that I got for £7.
£2.07 on Tango and jam in LIDL.
£4.97 again in Morrisons, more YS stuff which my sister had to virtually fight for! It was funny, but some bloke was giving her daggers as she was bagging the best stuff.
£7.00 in ALDI on super 6 and fruit as DS05 will be on packed lunches now.
£34.16 to add, aim to spend the same next week, as I have the £5 MOC from the sun on sunday.
Hope all are well.

First day back at work, and declaring an NSD here! Hope I can make it a fiscal fast week. I have everything I need to make lunches and breaktime snacks (that's usually just a carrot with a bit of hummous anyway).I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
