Feeling a lot better now...the doctor knew best I guess. Thanks for the well wishes :D

DundeeDoll - hope you feel better soon and anyone else I missed does also. This changeable weather can't be helping.

Had a spend of £1.45 today on some spinach in Mr S...used it with a pack of jumbo king prawns from the freezer, with a the last red pepper from my Mr T delivery a few weeks ago (still in a very fresh condition), a bit of pak choi left from my housemates meal last night, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce and chilli flakes, served with rice. Was lovely - just love having meals which you can have using primarily 'storecupboard' ingredients.

Having a cake from Ikea now (my housemates buy)....soooo nice!

Going to visit a friend tomorrow who is cooking lamb - one of my favourite meats which I never get because of the price. :D

I have been working flat out and will probably have to do my Easter shop on Saturday, I hope there are some Easter eggs left, and maybe some bargains... ?

I will have Saturday and Sunday off and am really looking forward to it. Happy Easter break to all, howerever long you have! x

Hope everyone who has the bank holiday off will enjoy themselves (there is sun here) and for everyone still at work.....big hug and hope you get some nice overtime for it! :D

I had a great girlie night out (middle aged womany night out just doesnt sound right, does it)???

I spent £15 on a meal (brought home a whole left over nan bread to freeze for another day :o) and 2 pitchers of cocktails.

Great company and good friends so very pleased I went.

    Updated my signature spend.

I am off out on a 1st date (go me :j ) later, but always insist on paying my way, so will need to update again later.

And have promised myself some flowers (love flowers NEVER buy them) but dont have DGS here for a few days, so I could have them on display in front room and really enjoy them without them being tipped out and I think I deserve the
    treat!! :T

    Hi

Thank you for the chickpea suggestions, I'll look for a nice curry recipe but leave it 'til after Easter as we only had curry on Weds. Have to space them out!

My Sa*nsbury shop came last night and my total is now £198.80 - 50% of budget:eek: but got lots of stuff.

Do Sa*ns do pricematching? I got a couple of more expensive substitutes and accepted them without realising they were a worse deal. Might have a moan to Mr S!

Cleaned out my food cupboard last night, threw away some old stuff and had a jar cull. Now I keep opening the door and looking at my tidy cupboard! What a saddo!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

Spent £9.99 in Morrisons yesterday, got some more bread mix (Tesco wouldn't take my coupon the other day) some Savers nappies and wipes, some biscuits and treats. Including their version of shredded wheat and mini eggs to make Easter Nests.

Cannot find my notebook and I NEED to it write my shopping down and make a note of the presents I have bought this week. I cannot function without my notebook!

Florenceem i need more than a slapped hand to be locked up perhaps as it was my own fault, inspired by the photo's you post i made quiche for the first time last week (for oh as i dont like eggs) and it was a success, thank you for that.
Fozziebeartoo roasted chickpeas with spices they sound great perhaps roasting a few other bits to make a hm bombay mix. i might google for a recipie later
Barbeduk, indeed the vodka was used for medicinal purposes, the beef i can use for 3 meals and maybe sandwhiches, no the diswasher tablets were not the ones you can split in half, but is an idea for next time i stock up.
on a frugal note i put a gammon joint in slow cooker yesterday and finished off i the mini oven. that will be two meal and sandwhiches. the stock is back in slow cooker with some herbs, stcok cubes, veg, mixed beans and some tiny pasta, i have also shredded the outside cabbage leaves instead of composting them, i am making a ministrone soup. i can do frugal and make meals stretch i just need to stop spending so much money. i will update my sig now in shame. hope you all have a great easter and i will be sending oh to see if there are any yellow sticker bargains tomorrow.
