You do get the impression that we're fighting a Hydra. But Hydras can be killed. Maybe I should change my username to Heracles.

I loved the quote, "A DVLA spokesman said: ‘We take our responsibility for the information we hold very seriously. Information is only provided under strict controls."

We like our fivers used but not too wrinkled, with no consecutive serial numbers, the same way up, with the Queen's head at the same end and with the corners straightened out. :)

"When a contract is terminated, any DVLA data held must be securely deleted or destroyed. In this case we have written to the company concerned insisting that they provide written confirmation that this has been done."

    Ooo, scary.

I wonder if they'll send the DVLA an appeal refusal letter?
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

And of course the dvla has made over a £100k in the process of giving our details out to a company not fit to have them, together with the breaking of the dpa by doing so.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Another fine use of the word Fine by the daily mail.

Minutes of the latest BPA Meeting:
1 - We have sadly had to expel UK Parking Enforcement Agency
2 - We welcome to the ranks a new company by the name of "Parking Enforcement Agency UK"

Last week I wanted to leave my car in a private car park round the corner from my flat so I read the signs in the car park to see if I could park there. The sign said the car park was enforced by parkforce so I visited the website to see a message saying they'd discontinued their ticketing operations so I thought what the hell, I'll just park there. A few days later, I had a "ticket" from parkforce so I started doing some research and it lead me here. My question is, if they're not operating or have been "dumped" by the dvla, will they still be able to get my details to chase me, not that I have any intention of paying it!

Edit: FYI this has all happened since 25/3....

Well their website says they have closed, which is a crying shame lol if they write to you just ignore them like any other private parking company.

It's such a shame when the parking companies do a phoenix the landowners don't realise and don't cancel the contracts allowing the new company to continue with the contract
