Went to Easyjets own website can get two flights including baggage, paying by debit card for £88.
BA is charging £76 per person (think thats debit card).
There is quite a difference is there, anything else to look out for with easyjet.0 -
Do see if you can follow the advice in Voyagers post # 9.
You have an onward flight and unless your ticket for the onward flight is flexible, if there is any delay with your feeder flight, then you could be stuck. Not worth the risk IMO.
If your flights are with the same airline or FF grouping, then you would be protected if there are delays.
Would be helpful knowing the answers to the questions posed in my post # 6 to try to help you properly.0 -

The connecting airline is Titan Airways.
Will be from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Prestwick.0 -
Very sorry but I do not know enough about Titan Airways to offer any meaningful advice. I thought that apart from a few scheduled ski flights frrom Stansted and Gatwick, all Titan's other flights were charter or sub-charter flights on behalf of Tour Operators from different airports.
Am sure someone else will be able to help you.0 -

had never heard of them myself.
It would not matter what airline we fly down with in regards to connecting flight would it?
Is BA worth the extra money?0 -
Titan is a charter airline and they do ad-hoc charters and other flights on behalf of tour operators. Iirc, they're based at Stansted.
The price for the BA flight is exactly what it is when you pay. No extras for luggage, check-in, boarding cards or snack/drink onboard. You can check in online 24 hours before the flight, but you don't need to print your boarding card as you can do that at the airport. Checked in luggage allowance is 23kg and there isn't a limit on the hand luggage weight as long as it fits the dimensions (on the website) and you can lift it into the over head locker unaided. You can also bring a handbag/laptop bag as hand luggage free of charge.
I can't really comment much on easy jet as I don't fly with them. I know they charge for checked in luggage and whatever you want onboard, however they might charge for other things as well.
It's up to you to make the decision who to fly with. Everyone's got a preference, but only you can choose what's right for you (not very helpful am I ? Sorry!).0 -
I recently flew with BA. The reason I chose BA was that their website made sense and no hidden charges, plus the generous 23kg hold luggage, and the fact I could take my handbag and MY laptop on board. With all the added extras that I needed the so called cheaper airline actuallly worked out more expensive so went with BA which was cheaper. Plus I couldn't figure out what I would/wouldn't need so I went with the airline that made sense and had it all included. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

I fly almost weekly between Edinburgh and London and just go with the cheapest flight - there is very little difference in service although I've found easyjet to be marginally more reliable and punctual. I only carry hand luggage and don't pay for any extras other than booking fee and debit card fee.
If you're connecting to a charter flight, it won't be possible to be booked all the way through. Make sure you allow for any delays etc when you time the connection.
(I'm guessing there is currently some training programme in stand up comedy going on with Easyjet staff. Quite a few flights have had pilots and flight attendants telling stories and jokes. Think they're copying Southwest Airlines.. can be quite amusing sometimes)0 -

There has been a weight restriction on BA hand baggage for the past year or so. However it is 23kgs so probably not a concern!0 -
Perhaps do a risk assessment of what could happen that would mean you missed your outbound Titan Airways flight and then just plan your trip to hopefully avoid this.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
