Watching the above program, 95% of the training and performance of ATOS shown was _CORRECT_.
It was according to the law, as enacted by parliament, and required of ATOS by their contract.
They're just the face of the problem, not what it actually is.
If another firm (or indeed the civil service) took over their role, the results would be pretty much the same.
The criteria for ESA are very arbitrary, and do not relate to realistic hopes someone will be able to enter the workplace.0 -

Recieved a letter from him today, saying if he can help with the claim he will, and also that he has passed on my concerns to the Government person, incharge of the DWP, for her to look into how Atos preform.
Maybe a few more people should get their local mp involved, and we may be able to bring ATOS down
If your MP is a tory then you're very lucky as the vast majority of tory MPs are very pleased at the way Atos are throwing people off their benefits as it shows they're doing what they're getting paid to do!0 -
many many people have had decisions revisited and changed as a result of MP involvement
people on incapacity were judged by a more humane assessment, it doesnt mean anyone was cheating

Fingers crossed they dont impose a sanction for not attending, they can be stupid that way.
Update
I had another letter arriving on the same day as the assessment. Got another apology. Third letter arrived, would you believe it was the exact day and time as my appointment with consultant. Finally got together with the work assessor, we had 1-2-1 girls chat as was same age and background. Next meeting only one out of four turned up so we had another girly chat.
My consultant said at last appointment it would take up to 5 years to fully recover, I'll be long retired by then!:T0 -

Atos, in short are an instrument of the state. Employed to do it's evil bidding. Shame on this government, shame on this country.0
