I haven't taken any loan, just looked, a £1 payment has gone out, the £69.99 and the bank has said they have tried a couple of times!!! Can I get this money back?? I've noticed some people have 'finally' got money back but that was months ago...will it still be the same process? Any advice welcome
So how did they get your account details then ?
Plucked out of thin air maybe0 -

The two bolded word are sadly why these sort of companies, get away with it.
All you can do, is follow the refund procedure and keep on at them, if you get no refund.
Again sadly many people can't be bothered and that again is why they still exist.0 -
Fozmcfc,
Yep your right - I am bombarding them with emails, Almost hourly to ensure they know that I will not let up and if they are even one day over the 30 days in the regulation I will make sure that I push through with my complaint with the financial ombudsman. I guess I will have no grounds for a complaint otherwise.I have told them that I am charging them for emails that I have to send - Does anyone know if I have grounds to chase them for these fee's? Just thought I would play them at their own game.

It's my understanding that if they are unable to provide a loan they cannot charge more than £5 for the service.0

I have today had #69.99 taken from my bank account by Myloan. As I did not recognise the payment immediately I had a dig around and found that I had received two e-mails from them, one saying my application had been approved and the second saying my account has been debited. I can categorically state that I do not believe I have ever willingly applied for anything with these characters. I checked the e-mails over and noticed that there was no application or customer reference as one would expect if a bona fide application had been made with them and I believe this indicates that I have been the victim of a scam here and when I attempted to login into the members area of their website using the login details provided by them in their e-mails to see where this might take me all I got a message stating that the username and password did not exist in their records. I will contact my bank later on this morning about this payment though I do not hold out any hope for any help from them (based on what I have read re the experiences of others) but I find it incredible that this company has been getting away with this for so long.
They will not get away with my money - I will be contacting them today as well and will not rest until I get a full refund. I am writing a letter of complaint to the financial ombudsman etc as well.0 -
Hi Angelholyfire,
You must send them an email saying that you wish to cancel any terms and conditions that you have signed up for. I am currently waiting for my refund which I have been told will be sent today, 21 days since I cancelled and 25 days since they took the funds. Unfortunately you do not have a case with the FO until they have broken the law or the distance selling regs which I have posted here somewhere. If you wish I can send you the link for the relevant regulations?0 -
Don't hold your breath Nick, unless you really do think an email got them shaking0

I received my refund yesterday! I stayed on there case and emailed them basically every day. I have 4-5 email addresses that I just kept sending emails with read receipts and then forwarded the relevant laws to them. Unfortunately I have no grounds for complaint with the Financial Ombudsman as they refunded me within the 30 day period.
Just keep on their case! Good Luck!0 -
spoke to one of them on the phone today she was very rude and very defensive. She told me i should be reading the t&cs which would be true if i had not gone through a third party. I actually remember when i clicked accept that a screen popped up saying thank you for your payment it was up for less than a second.
Would love to find them on facebook so if you could there names on here that would be great. Think i may pop down and visit these people as im not very far away0 -
