Those are the stats required, someone will be along shortly who can advise on them.
Noise Margin is the same as Signal-Noise Ratio

forgive me, but I can not find either of those words / phrases on my Netgear Wizard, so I clicked on a randon Netgear router model on KITZ, with these results:
    System Up Time 215:50:27 Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time WAN PPPoA 2063298 3092811 0 534 15063 76:06:54 LAN 10M/100M 10852664 7257245 0 2536 638 215:50:05
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 20056 Kbps 1023 Kbps Line Attenuation 9.7 dB 3.0 dB Noise Margin 8.6 dB 14.8 dB
Connection Speed 20056 Kbps 1023 Kbps shows you are currently connecting @ 20Mb down and 1 Mb up.Not10 Mb as you said
You should easily get these speeds with any LLU supplier though I see FTTC is also available in some areas from your exchange which should provide more if it's speed you want.

    That sounds great, thanks!
As for the FTTC, Virgin told me that it is not available to my building (a nine story flat block about 200 yards from the Empire Exchange)
I have never had a higher upspeed than 14Mbps on this line, often it hovers between 10-12Mbps.
I connect directly over an ether cable, to try and maximize the speed.
Is there anything that I can currently do to push the speed towards that 'promised' 20Mbps?

I have just been on the line to my IPS at virgin technical support.
Surprisingly, they claim that I "should only be getting between 6-8Mbps at my postcode" and that they "have no idea" why my router is getting an input of 20Mbps.
They asked me if I wanted them to cap my speed at 8Mbps, and they advised that this would "give me a more stable connection".
I told them to keep it as it is...
Does any of this make any sense?
