Fluffy when you have the reply from the parking department, can you then go to trading standards as what they (parking company) are doing is illegal, and your colleagues there would be very interested in this. I know one of our regulars got a parking company reported and they had to refund everyone from their practices, I think they got fined as wellExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
we were ticketed last night by Capital2coast while parked in a bay outside a Portsmouth City Council tower block. Therefore they are operating on council owned land. I work for Portsmouth City Council so will be putting in a quick phone call to my colleagues in the parking team to let them know this company is operating on land that is also patrolled by the Council's own enforcement officers who of course are legally entitled to issue 'real' parking tickets.
Capital2coast ARE still showing up as members on the AOS site as of today (5th December) despite the other poster receiving that e mail from DVLA back in October/ November stating that they are no longer members. Has anyone actually told AOS this??
I'm not overly worried now that I've seen that DVLA won't be issuing driver details.
BTW - Capital2coast also seem to be employing colour blind enforcement officers as our silver car has mutated into green according to their 'ticket' lol :rotfl:
Are you sure that the Council has not simply contracted C2C in that residential car park? Happens all the time, Councils just out-source some of the blocks of flats car park 'management' because there might not be an Order for the car park at all, or it's seen as cheaper not to have to bother with real penalty enforcement there.
Also I think you've missed the point of this thread, in chronological order, we were told that C2C are not able to get data but then weeks later they were showing as members again. No-one has emailed the DVLA again yet but if I were you I would, to check whether you can look forward to some threatograms or not:

But whatever the answer you can ignore it...or appeal it and then take the matter to POPLA to cost C2C money. And to expose their business model to London Councils (who run POPLA, see the top thread on this parking forum for info).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad,
we're just ignoring the 'ticket' and not contacting them as I don't want to willingly give them the keeper name and address if DVLA aren't.
I did receive a reply from our Parking Department, who passed me onto the Asset Management team as parking don't patrol the car parks at the Council owned tower blocks, and they in turn have confirmed that C2C are used by Portsmouth City Council to patrol their car parks.
I'm going to e mail DVLA to see if C2C have been reinstated recently as they are still showing up on the BPA website:cool:All of my views are my own0
