Definitely needs a swift email to the DVLA by the OP, if only to clarify that this bunch can't get data and so that the DVLA report them to Tradings Standards for pretending they are an AOS member.

(and if it turns out they are an AOS member, still ignore the fake PCN of course as it doesn't suddenly make it a real parking ticket!).

Please let us know what the DVLA tell you.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

On a complaint I forwarded to the DVLA, I had this reply today
Dear Mr,

Thank you for your email regarding Capital 2 Coast Ltd.

The DVLA are aware that this organisation are no longer members of the British Parking Associations Approved Operator Scheme. The DVLA was notified that they were no longer members on the 25th October 2012. Capital 2 Coast have not received any vehicle keeper details since this date.

I will be emailing the organisation in question regarding their wording relating to keeper liability and that they need to be members of an Accredited Trade Association to obtain vehicle keeper data for this purpose.

I will be making the BPA aware that their website still displays their logo. The BPA can then take their own action on this point.

Thank you for making the DVLA aware of this.

Kind regards

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

So Capital 2 Coast have actually been booted out by the BPA just a couple of weeks ago. Great news!

Well I don't know about that, they certainly not in the AOS at least, so they cannot get RK details despite their misleading threats

I can't see an AOS member voluntarily leaving the only existing ATA when there is no other option for getting DVLA data! :rotfl:

There is no bubble to burst, when the email directly from the dvla was sent coast were not in the aos, if that has changed since we would not know as we are scouring the aos list daily for changes. I will email the dvla to see if there has been a change because you can't trust the list on the bpa website as its wrong very often, which adds to the confusion.

On top of the appeal fee there's this

we were ticketed last night by Capital2coast while parked in a bay outside a Portsmouth City Council tower block. Therefore they are operating on council owned land. I work for Portsmouth City Council so will be putting in a quick phone call to my colleagues in the parking team to let them know this company is operating on land that is also patrolled by the Council's own enforcement officers who of course are legally entitled to issue 'real' parking tickets.

Capital2coast ARE still showing up as members on the AOS site as of today (5th December) despite the other poster receiving that e mail from DVLA back in October/ November stating that they are no longer members. Has anyone actually told AOS this??

I'm not overly worried now that I've seen that DVLA won't be issuing driver details.

BTW - Capital2coast also seem to be employing colour blind enforcement officers as our silver car has mutated into green according to their 'ticket' lol :rotfl:
All of my views are my own :o
