Hi everyone. Lots and lots of new ‘faces’ since I was last here ( and some old ones too) . Have been way off plan for a good few months. I lost two sisters to cancer one in April and the other in June (both fast and unexpected). I only the past few days felt the need to get my life back a bit and am hoping this helps me. I got to page 200 and decided I needed to get back on track. So I am going back to class tomorrow but made an effort to start today. I lost 2 stone with red and green days but all and more has gone back on. I have 3 to 4 stone to lose and hopefully with all your good selves I will get there. Your support for each other is great!:T At the moment my big downfall is my wine and a very low attitude to life.:( Sorry for the ramble but if I didn’t do it now I might never start.

If I write all my food down please feel very free to correct/shout/bark at me. All will be helpful. A bit about me I am retired and not active mainly due to meds for atrial fibrillation . These meds are being changed this week so not looking forward to that!
    My food today--- green

    b—2eggs/tomato and 3 ryvita (heb)

    l---- HM lentil/veg &bean soup

    d--- potatoes/beans cheese (hea)

sn – tomato/wholemeal roll (heb) / grapes and yogurt (0.5)

    syns – mayo-1/wine-15 (2 and a half glasses)

How many syns do you allow a bottle of wine? I and OH share a bottle at dinner some nights with me getting the lions share!!!:rotfl:

4lb on today from my hols which I am really pleased with - the diet salvage operation over the weekend must have had some effect!

i am away with work now until Thursday at the Royal Welsh Show but we are staying in a holiday cottage so I have bought ryvita & laughing cow light for breakfasts along with fruit and also a load of chicken & salady things and mullerlights so I will make up a packed lunch and take it every day (tomorrow's already made and in the fridge). We eat out at night but will chose a steak or gammon with baked tattie & veg and hopefully manage to stay on plan!

Have been out for a hastily arranged meal. Had steak, new potatoes, peas and half a tomato. Diet coke to drink and no pudding. That can't be too bad can it?

Looks ok in that there's hardly any syns, maybe a bit of oil depending on how they cooked the steak/tomato but needs more SF so go for it tomorrow.

    Welcome Annie!

And so say all of us Annie. So sorry to hear you've had a bad time lately but good to hear you sounding positive to do something about your weight. I'm sure it'll be good for you healthwise too. I allow 25.5 syns for a bottle of wine (8.5 in each large glass). That was in my old book but I haven't checked the new one. Wine is my downfall too. I worked really hard on cutting down before I started SW, limiting myself to weekends and special occasions. It's not for everyone but I choose to eat fairly syn free during the week and save my syns for weekend wine. I lost just under 3.5 stone to get to target in 10 months and I've kept it off for almost a year, so it does work. Posting your menu plan is a good idea but I'm not a Green expert so I'll leave others to comment on that. Good luck.

A bit late in the day but this has been my EE menu:

B: scrambled egg, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, squirt of HP sauce
L: half a monster melon, few crumbs of Stilton, roast pork
D: SW chicken curry (with tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onion and courgette), few chips, boiled rice, tsp of mango chutney
Syns: chips (about 6 McCain rustic so not too many syns there), chutney, sauce.... BUT I keep going to the fridge eating bits of crackiling off the pork:o It's going in the bin tomorrow!!

Hi Annie - so sorry for your losses but welcome back and good luck. You've done it before so you know you can do it again.

I've been struggling the last few days but I think I'm pretty hormonal this week. So hard to really tell as I haven't had a period for nearly a year now (definite menopause) but I still have all the symptoms every month, including the munchies!!

Got a week till the monthly WI so hoping to try and salvage a bit!
