    Good morning....My name's PearShaped and I'm a calorieaholic ;)

Just thought I'd introduce myself after following this fab thread for the last couple of days "Hi!"

I dug out my old SW books from the bottom of the paper/post/rubbish draw this time last week after deciding enough's enough & am following EE. I find the food side of the diet really easy to follow (especially in this lovely weather).... my syns are saved up for a glass or 3 at the weekend.

I'm 5'6 and weigh just over 14st so need to lose 3-4st depending on where I feel comfortable...I mean I think I was at my happiest at around 11st,size14.
Moving counties, having a young family, husband working away and using wine, crisps, bread, cheese (I'm a proper savory kinda gal) & the tv to comfort myself has led to me gaining the weight but after 2yrs of half hearted attempts to shift it, I suddenly woke up 'in the zone' a week ago & a quick surf of the old tinternet landing me here.

So, 'Hi' again....nice to meet you all :)

Hi, welcome to the thread x

Hello all:wave: good to see you sticking with it. Welcome to newbies, you've come to the right place.

Just had a little holiday so expecting a bit of a gain at WI tomorrow but I can afford it as was right at bottom of range before going away.

Pearshaped, I can empathise with you. Although for different reasons, I used to comfort eat the savouries (and drink) every night so ended up with 3-4st to lose. Actually, the eating followed the drinking as resistance is lowered. I followed the plan almost syn free all week and kept all my syns for my favourite weekend wine.;) It's easy to put together a menu with just a few odd syns for some gravy or sauce. The weekend treats gave me something to look forward to and motivated me really well. I lost 3.5st in 10 monthsby a very scenic route Good Luck!

There isn't really a limit to eggs (although they can have unpleasant effects for some). You do need to be careful though as when you up your free food you have to up the SFs as well. So take the lovely nicoise that Blodwen mentioned: you could have as much tuna, potatoes, eggs as you liked but it would have to be matched by a third SF (leaves, green beans, tomatoes etc). As a tip, I find the Pret a Manger nicoise the best thing if you need to grab something at lunchtime. It has a tiny bottle of dressing which you add yourself (or not) so on it's own it's almost syn free (can't remember if it has olives). Another tip is to carry a little bottle of balsamic or lowcal dressing with you to add to 'undressed' salads.

    Green today

    Breakfast:
Kellogg's Hi Fibre Milk Choc Cereal Bar (HEB)
    Strawberries (superfree) and sweetner

Lunch: Weight Watchers Beef and Red Wine Casserole Meal (6.5) syns

Tea: SW Chips (Free), Measured Ham (HEB), fried eggs (Free)

Only wobbles so far today have been the tempatation to walk to the bakery near my office and get one of their home made muffins and I also contemplated having a curly wurly .... but have resisited both :T

I do have greek 0% yogurt in the fridge at home so may mix this with a 2 meringue nests (2.5 syns each) and frozen red fruit.

Allowing 1.5 syns for sweet chilli sauce, that will take my syns up to 13 which is fine for day 1 on plan :j

I found my old book today (from when I first joined SW) and can see that it took me just three weeks to lose the half stone to get into the lower stone level. I'm hoping to be able to repeat this! It would be great to shift some pounds before my holiday.

I also found my food diaries from my first few weeks. Its interesting to see how I was spending 5 syns  on 28g flora !

    Hi Losers ;)

Hope you are all well, I am totally writing last week off (posting wise) :o it was waaaaay to nice to sit indoors on a lappy at the weekend, especially as I sit in front of a pc 8-5 M-F in the-sweltering-heat with-no-air-conditioning-&-glass-windows. I was still a good girl though, although overindulged in the wine at family bbq, I had taken my own burger, roll & cheese slices (A & B), filled up on salads Still not back on plan with the Jillian Michaels, going to attempt level one tonight & see how my back copes with it. :(

I did lose 1.5lb this week meaning I have said cheerio to 1 Stone, :T:jI never want it back again…..so the journey continues, 14lb more to go until I am at target, hopefully before 3rd August!!! Hope you are well, I have diddly squat chance of catching up on thread!

    Todays Plan

B- Berries, melon FF Nat yoghurt
L – Salad, Bolognese bake, melon, strawberries
D – Salad, Bacon, leek, sweet potato quiche, apple (HEA)
    S – Banana, Toffee Muller

Still to have HEB so will prob have some WM toast with synned Laughing Cow Light or Strawberry Jam
:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

    I think I need help!!

    .

Last night I gorged like a monster, I had 2 lots of melted cheese, 2 bags of crisps, half a bag of popcorn and a chocolate muffin. This was after a healthy tea of homemade pizza and loads of salad - what is wrong with me.

I've shared this all with you so I can be ashamed when I read back.

First off well done losers :D:beer:

This sounds like how i have been all week, i have had not a single iota of motivation this week and have stuck to plan in an "of sorts" type of way. I have spent the last couple of days ready to throw the towel in and then raging at myself for thinking of giving up when i have been doing so well, and then crying because because how much of a failure i am for having biscuits , and thorntons :o.

Agree with the others sentiments about walking away from the cupboard, make yourself a metal checklist & ask if you are really hungry, ask if its worth putting an a pound on at next WI and what sort of nutrional gain you will get from whatever you are thinking of eating.

Thanks MAMAN.... I was just sat here (whilst tucking into a chicken & mushroom pasta n sauce made only with water!) thinking exactly the same thing. Although I have stuck to fat free meat, pasta n sauce made without milk/butter, homemade burgers, mullerlights ect.... I haven't been filling up/adding 1/3 SF and it's not because I don't like them.
:( DOh! ~slaps forehead!~ I could kick myself because I thought I'd done quite well for the week but I know I haven't been doing it properly having read through a lot of the thread/book/magazine.

I did pop to the supermarket earlier and picked up SW mag so I might have a flick through for a recipe for tea. I also grabbed some mullerlight coconut & dark choc yogurts on the off chance that they were syn free so pleased to have just read that they are :j They are lush.... gooie bountyness in a pot :j

Sainsburys have a buy 6 for £3 offer on at the mo

I use my HEa for milk for my beloved cuppa & HEb is a kelloggs HI FI bar because I don't have to think then! I am going to try, after the weekend to save up all my syns for the following weekend.
Not to sure about having a BBQ at the street party now having just watched the weather forecast. Fingers crossed x
