IB or ESA with working partners

No you won't, as long as you remain in the Support Group, your partner's income is not assessed. If you are ever placed in to the Work Group, it is likely that your ESA entitlement will cease due to your partner's income.
Not true I'm afraid. As it's income based then she will loose it.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

She gets income based ESA so unless she has the entiltlment to contributions based ESA her ESA will stop, nothing to do with being in the support group if she isnt entitled to ESA at all.Torry_Quine wrote: »Not true I'm afraid. As it's income based then she will loose it.
I assumed it was in error and was not aware that a claimant placed in to the support group could receive income-based ESA. I assume it is because the claimant has income from another source or savings, more information please.0 -

Which group you are placed in and whether it's contribution or income based are seperate issues. The group is determined by the severity of your health whereas if you haven't paid enough contributions then it will automatically be income based. The only difference as far as I can tell is that contribution based support group is indefinate but contribution based WRAG is time-limited to one year.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

The only error is from you, anyone claiming ESA can be on contributions or income based ESA or even both!0
