Hi thanks Missli, I caved really easily and chose Glossybox - which arrived yesterday and I am happy with my box. I also had a bad day with two of my kids being poorly so to cheer myself up I subbed to Birchbox... And now have seen the PP and want to get a betrousse too lol! I am on a no-clothes buying ban as I am losing weight so have vowed to buy no more clothes until I am at target. It seems I have swapped my clothes addition for beauty boxes pretty easily :D xx

It's lovely receiving boxes in the post. I'm trying hard not to look at Betrousse (very tempted), they are a bargain! :D

So today I got my 1st Birchbox. It contained the following:

KMS Add volume spray - 30ml - approx value £1.50

Fresh sugar rose lip treatment - 2g - approx value £10

    Taaj Hand Cream - 30ml - approx value £5

Wei white lotus eye blend - 2ml tube - approx value £8.50

Last item was a tea pig, tea temple in Camomile - should not be counted as one of the items surely?

Not a bad value box but I'm glad I've decided to give them a miss for a while as I'm just not getting the same excitement out of them as I was a year a go. I love getting packages in the post but then feel a bit less enthusiasm over the products.

I signed up using the SSB trio code but didn't get the extras so I've emailed SSB to ask if I should have got these direct from them or from Birchbox. Be interested to know if anyone else receives them in their box.

I have to say i am not that excited by the sound of the 1st birchbox - doesn't really have anything that i would have felt sad about missing. I thought they would have made it a bit special with the rebrand, but doesn't seem to be the case.

I might give one of the other boxes a go

I got my 1st birchbox today also I'm pretty happy with it and let's say...its loads better than my glossybox. I got
fresh sugar rose lip treatment(2.2g) (which I can't wait to start using) KMS free shape (quick blow dry (30ml) Taaj hand cream (30ml)WEI jujube age control serum (had this in a previous glossybox and liked it,too expensive to buy though(4ml). Then I got 1 beauty extra I colonialli deep body massage cream ( 10ml sachet, hate sachets) and then I got a lifestyle extra which was teapigs peppermint tea bag
so yes I like this box...lets see how next month goes to weather I'll re sub or not

Same as me, except the last item which was a slightly different variety. I'm quite happy with this, as I'll use everything. It's better than I expected actually. Got my Glossybox as well, which was ok, nothing more, but again, it's all stuff I'd use.

Oh, and also got my little LiB box, which for £1.50 got me 2 x 10ml bottles of Weleda birch cellulite oil and three perfume samples - Britney Spears Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy and Time by Lulu. They've just restocked the little box samples, so there's reasonable selection.

I ordered two Betrousse boxes for me! The Pretty Beauty and the Must haves! I couldn't resist...and I can't wait to get them! I think it's a great offer 14 each box inc post.
Could anyone who bought and tried the products in these boxes, tell me if the expensive products are worth their money? I am considering buying some boxes to give as a present. I am happy to try them myself, but if they are not as good I don't want to give them to others. I would appreciate any reviews!
  • Hi
I'm new here. Just want to tell you guys that I'm not impress with glossybox customer service. I subscribed more than a month ago but no sign of box or dispatch email. Other people who subbed after me already got their boxes. Also, glossybox don't look at customers profiles. They send stuff out randomly.

    hi everyone,
thanks to Selene16 for posting about the betrousse boxes being half price, I ordered the pretty beauty one, which seems like really good value for money. I got the papier poudre in an old luxbox and find them really useful, so I'm happy to get some more. it all looks good apart from the eyeshadow!
When I ordered the must haves with the wowcher offer, the box did take over 3 weeks to arrive though.

I also received my first birchbox (same as rondacon) and I have to say that for the first time in the last 6 months it is probably a bit better than glossybox. It's not amazing but I will use everything. will pass on glossybox for this month as some of the boxes look quite bad.

I had the natural organic box, and it was well worth the money. I adored the bath salts (my favourite from the box), and nearly caved, but I still have loads of the other products (except the soap) left, so couldn't justify getting.

I did however order the pretty beauty box as was a real bargain for £9 plus postage, and I have run out of paper poudre, and argan oil (both of which I love using). It works out a lot cheaper to buy the box than buying those products seperately. Everything in it looks great except for the cheap eyeshadow.
