Well I was quite happy with my Birchbox this is what I got:
Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment - 2.2g (approx £8)
KMS Add Volume Spray - 30ml (approx £1.50)
Reverence De Bastien Nail & Cuticle Treatment - 15ml (think this is full size£15.50)
Wei Royal Ming Firming & Hydrating Cream - 4ml (approx £6)
Teapigs - peppermint (approx 20p)
So the box has a value of £31 which I'm pleased with
Will use all of these items, and all seem like fairly luxury brands, but this will be my last beauty box for now
Have decided that I have too many toiletries and so will not be buying anymore until I have used some up!
Will keep an eye on this thread though to see what I'm missingAddicted to MSE, I can't resist a bargain0 -
I have only tried Glossy Box and was quite impressed with the packaging... The Clip on nails were a disappointment, I like the moisturisers that usually come in GB. But getting bored with GB, so will have to give BirchBox a go as research ("Google") that they were the first ones in the beauty box business.0

I have subscribed to Lux box and paid the first months charge. When does the box arrive? Is it only every other month?
TIA!0 -

I am not sure whether you will receive the Jan or Feb box, it depends whether you have ordered before the 28 or not. They send boxes monthly but it has happened a couple of times that they skip one... It's why I stopped getting their boxes but I keep an eye on them. The spoiler doesn't look bad (see FB).
Still waiting for my Betrousse ordered in the sales, can't wait.
Whats in my handbag is having a free try of Jimmy Choo perfume. Since I have first ordered with whats in my handbag in October, it is the 1st time they have had a free try product. The usual are buy+try.

I received my Betrousse Pretty Beauty box today via Yodel. I'm very pleased. I think it's ok to discuss, as there is no surprise about the contents.
I got the Frankincense & Orange Cupcake repairing day cream (the variant I wanted), pink eyeshadow palette, and Body lotion for all skin types (I would have preferred the dry skin, but this is suitable for all so good).
I am out of Argan oil and Papier Poudre, so am happy to have some. I usually buy oil from Simply Argan as they have good deals, I have never used crackle effect on my nails, so I don't care if it's old hat I will have a go.Also excited about the anti-ageing cream. I'm currently using No7 Protect & Perfect serum, so will wait until that's finished.
It also contains Yves Rocher's Green Book of Beauty. It's been many years since I've bought their products so will be interesting to try their cleanser, and lip-gloss also in the box. Not so excited about these as love the one's I'm using currently, but will come in handy. Yves Rocher usually have really good deals from memory, so will be looking out for.
It is the best box out of all the kits on Betrousse's site. Very good value for money. I will use everything except the cheap eyeshadow palette which will be given to my young daughter to play with.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
Looking at that link, it appears that one of the products which I received, the Kesari anti-ageing cream has been removed from the box, as no longer appears on the link in my previous post. It's a bit confusing as it still states 9 products, but on the kits page the RRP value of the box is now £75 instead of £122, although the bit about 9 products hasn't been amended.
I'm glad I ordered mine when I did, as that is worth £47!New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0 -
I received my Betrousse Pretty Beauty box today, and its contents are exactly the same as Missli's. I'm happy with everything except for the eyeshadow palette (parabens) and the black nail polish, both of which are useless to me, and currently in the bin
Overall I think I prefer the Summer Break box I received last week, as I like and have uses for every single product it contains. Either way these boxes are seriously brilliant value at £9 each (not including postage).
I've ordered the Christmas Beauty Box too0 -
The Summer Break was the other one I was interested in, but daren't order as have quite a few face creams now. The body mist looks lovely from what I can see.
Did you like the lip-gloss in the Pretty Beauty box? I was pleasantly surprised as it's a really pretty shade.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0
