As a child growing up my mum always had the huge bottle of 4711. When I hit my teens I followed the tradition that the rest of the females had and we actually use to put 4711 on a cotton bud and put it on our spots to get rid of them, Worked a treat and never had any major spot outbreaks. I never realised it was suppose to be a fragrance lol , to me it was a spot treatment and a good one at that x

I know there's a new box coming but I can't remember what company it was - I thought it was feel unique but a quick google search tells me I'm wrong. Anyone?

Ooh, is there? I had no idea about that but I'm excited!

I'm planning on buying the full size REN glycolactic mask but was wondering what the best deal would be. 20% off at Amarya or 20% off at REN? Can I combine the 20% off at REN with the free 'six of the best' for orders over £30?
Just wondering if anyone had done a REN order today and could give advice :)

Amarya works out at £22.40 BUT you also get loyalty points, which is only really worth it if you're planning to buy more from there in future.

The REN works out at £24 with the 20% discount BUT you can't combine that with the "six of the best" offer. REN checkout will only accept one offer code per transaction - trust me, I keep trying to fool it and haven't managed it yet! :rotfl:

I think sometimes classic products don't fit well into the beauty boxes. I remember the Yardley outcry with Joliebox. Me I was just happy to get some new shower gel.

I read somewhere that 4711 smells very similar to Tom Ford Private Blend Neroli. And is about 1% of the price.

I was actually pretty pleased with my SSB box! I absolutely love the Balance me Lip balm and that's worth double what I paid for the box in the first place. I've never tried nail foils so am looking forward at having a go with them and the other bits are nothing overly exciting but OK nonetheless!

got my SSB and quite pleased with it as will use most of the items

I got the nail polish in a pretty pink
hair treatment spray(useful for my hols)
4711 (pity it is so small)
    toothpaste (again a bit smal)
face powder stuff (not sure I will use)
and lip balm(again good for hols)

no idea what I paid but remember it was a good offer alos can't remember if this was my last box:rotfl:

Got my SSB box and got the same as others with exception of
bruton street, (a greyish pink), nails inc polish instead of nail foils. I like little bottles of polish and quite like the colour, value approx £5

which I'm pretty happy at as I would have hated the 2nd product.

Not a good box in my opinion but worth more than I paid especially with the Jubilee offer.
I think the 4711 smells awful - cute bottle though. My OH reckons it smells like febreeze. No value as far as I'm concerned.

The toothpaste is not a luxury product imo and at a value of £4 think we could have been given a full sized tube at least. At best value 75p.

I had the powder papers in a previous box and gave them to my daughter after trying one and thinking it was not for me. Again value less than £1.

Lip salve is good and actually didn't get it with the recent Glamour offer so not too unhappy with this. actually saved the box imo. Value approx £12.

If the redken is as good as it says it is, I'll be happy. Smallish size but enough to try. Value about £3.

I paid full price for the SSB box and quite honestly I think it was awful! I got the nail wraps and they are really ugly. :( I already had the lip balm, I had the toothpaste in a Carmine box and I had already had the face papers and found them too dark to use. UGH. The Redken hair stuff is the only thing that is new to me and the only thing that I'm happy with.
  • Damn, I'm too late to cancel my August payment for Lux  which has really annoyed me because I haven't received July's box yet!

Got my SSB today. I think after my subscription is up I'll only be keeping Amarya; so far for me, pretty much every other beauty box has been a disappointment.
    White Glo Professional Choice toothpaste
I already have plenty of toothpaste & backup toothpaste, and besides, whitening toothpastes don't work. If I want my teeth whitened I'll pay a visit to my dentist.

    Redken Color Extend Radiant-10
Have never coloured my hair, so this will have to do as a random hair treatment I suppose.

    Papier Poudre Powdered Paper
    Blotting papers... enough said

    Absolutely Flawless Nail Foils
Could have been great had I not received an ugly colour/pattern combination. Into the drawer it goes!

    4711 Eau De Cologne
Not the kind of fragrance I like.

Balance Me Rose Otto Lip Salve
Yay! One item that I like! I love all lip products with the exception of lipstick, and this makes a nice addition to my collection. Smells a little odd, but all natural & rather moisturizing... I'm happy with it in general.

Ahh no I have had my first ever SSD box and am really disappointed with it!!
White glo toothpaste!--I have loads of toothpaste samples that Ive sent off for-for free!

Papier Poudre- well yeah, blotting papers! Can get these in poundland!

4711 Eau de Cologne-- horrible, dated.

Redken stuff- the only good thing but small bottle.

Balance me Lip salve- got this with Glamour last month and didn't like the smell!

Nail Foils-- akin to the those you can get in Home Bargains for 99p!Can't believe some people have had Nails Inc polish instead of this!!

To me, this box is a disgrace! I have previously had Glossyboxes and FeelUnique boxes and they weren't always perfect but at least at one full size product and more luxury products. Am tempted to cancel SSD already! :-(
