Got my REN bath oil with a lovely mini sample of REN Hydracalm face wash included free, so that made up for any disappointment.

I ordered the Glycolactic Mask and had a sample of the photoactive sun veil SPF 15 in my parcel. Not high enough spf for me but will get used somehow

Rosemary - that was a good use of a rainy day! :T (I'm overdue for a good tidy up/sort out ) I love the L'Occitane boxes - I have my current splutterers in one and it helps to keep me focused and looks nice :)
  • I'm not sure if this will be of interest to anyone but there has a recently been a change to quite a few companies who have previously used the "bunny" logo to show that their products have not been tested on animals.

Basically, China is a HUGE market for cosmetics and toiletires BUT their law states that anything sold in China MUST be tested on animals before it can be sold for use on humans. As a result, companies who sell in China will be stripped of their "cruelty free" status as they are knowingly sending their products to Chinese labs for animal testing in order to enter the Chinese market.

These are some of the companies who are no longer certified as cruelty-free
    • L'Occitane
    • Yves Rocher
    • Caudalie
    • Mary Kay
    • Avon
    • Estee Lauder
    • Revlon
    • Garnier
    • L'Oreal
    • Chanel
    • Johnson & Johnson
    • FCUK
    • Clinique
    • Christian Dior
    • Givenchy
    • Yves Saint Laurent
    • Lancome
    • Virgin Vie
    • Yardley
    • Proctor & Gamble

I'm not going to debate the rights and wrongs of animal testing but I thought it might be important to highlight this change as I know a lot of people do choose to use only cruelty-free products.

My nail foil effort. Its a bit carp, although not bad, and we had fun doing it. It looks better if you just do alternate fingers.

purplebutterfly, your earlier post has given me food for thought. I was unaware of Chinese product testing policies. An eye-opener.

I think you definitely need to join the swapping page - I'd have most of your jolie box - including the box! And am sure I'm not the only one - shame to bin it.

Where is the swapping page? I'd love to join!
