Is that a trick question? No, I think you will find I was made redundant some time ago.

Ok, not everyjob gets replaced but the majority will do
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

    redundant
hmmm,so no job created when you left?
most people i know/speak to will tell you their employer is keeping staffing low and not replacing leavers
the simplistic argument of a person leaving creates a job, is false.

I wasn't a leaver I was made redundant. If the company I was working for were doing well and I was a leaver I would have been replaced like the person who left 8 mths after me as his role was NOT made redundant he was replaced.

Leaving and redundant are not the same thing. All the jobs I apply for are there as someone has left.

    what,no increase in staff requirements?
again, are you saying every person leaving a job is replaced?

how would there be an increase in staff requirements? If the work is going down too.

Like I keep saying leaving is not the same as redundancy. Companies like my old one who bring in a new accounts system that partly makes the invoice processing automated do not need new staff and that's one of the reasons they got it. Plus the loss of business.

If a job IS advertised then of course they are replacing the previous person.

not if it's a job to REPLACE someone, no. All the interviews I have had were to replace someone. This has nothing to do with the topic.
