Oooh, don't you hate it when your laptop restarts just before you hit 'post'...
Oh well, I was rambling I suppose.
Basically, had a good Christmas, hoping for a NSD today, done surveys and consumer pulse, signed up for TV Viewers panel, hoping to do a food audit today to start meal planning.
Made a delicious veggie chilli yesterday in the slow cooker and have enough left for tonight as well so planning on using that up along with a bit of rice some taco shells and the remainder of the dips from Boxing day buffet. Think I can probably get away with only buying some salad bits and maybe some fruit before Thursday which is my next shopping budget day. We settled on £40 a week for now and we'll see how we go. I think if I plan then it should be fine.
Anyway, hope everyone else had a good time over the holiday season and I'll be back soon x0 -
120,000 / 5000 = Each brick costs £24
120,000 - 105,000 = So far i've paid off £15,000
£15,000 / £24 = i own 625 bricks
(625/5000)x100 = i own 12.5%
As my house has 8 rooms (stairs anad landing count as 1)
i own 1 room of my house:)
Just found this old post on my diary...hmm...
120,000 / = Each brick costs £24
120,000 - 87,601 = so far i've paid off £32,399
£32,399 / £24 = i own 1350 bricks
(1350/5000)x100 = i own 27%
I own 2 rooms of my house
Ha Ha Love it!0 -

Thanks Brizzle I am so excited about starting on Monday, bit nervous too and I know I won't sleep Sunday night.
Happy New Year to all.
I always find the New Year celebrations a bit false and overhyped so this year I made some lovely curry and as hubby put little one to bed I arranged it all on our coffee table. Can't figureout how to post a picture but I even impressed myself. All vegan apart from the naan bread and my homemade vegan korma was delicious. I made mung bean daal, vegetable korma, spinach, potato and chick pea curry, minted cucumber salad, basmati rice and then did some indian snacks, chappati and naan. Yummy!
Off now to check surveys, fill in consumer pulse and do a tellprimark survey.

Right. Stuffed peppers and salad and cous cous for tea.
I've decided to attempt the 30 day minimalist challenge this month, starting today. I have to find one material item to either sell, donate or throw away by midnight tonight. Tomorrow I have to find 2 and so on by end of the month it'll be 31 items. Not sure I'll manage all 31 days but think it will be interesting.0 -
Morning all, I managed to throw away a fork yesterday...stupid I know! It was one that had a bent prong, every time I took it out the drawer I would realise it was the bent one and I'd put it back so it would never get used. It's like the item in your wardrobe that every time you put it on you take it off in favour of something else but then still put it back in your wardrobe. Today i have to find 2 items to remove from the house...
On a money front I have completed consumer pulse for the clothes I bought little one in the sale and also the DVD's I bought for a friend and Hubby for presents. It meant I could order another £10 voucher to help towards the cost of wallpaper and paint we need for the house.
We should get the mortgage statement this month so I'll have a rundown of the payments and savings from the last 12 months. Can't wait to see it in official black and white. I already have a good idea of where we are but I love an official statement!
Other than that not a lot to report. Going to look at the meal planner in a bit as I need to be organised next week with it being my first week at work. I think we need some cereal and milk and also some fresh fruit. Need to get a list going of easy meals as well so I don't spend ages trying to think up meals. Right, off now to get myself and little one washed and dressed ready for the day.0 -
2 items removed from the house. 2 lipsticks that I bought ages ago and liked at the time but no longer suit my style, plus they were quite old and had the 'old makeup' smell x
Right, off to meal plan with what's left in the house.

Well I've had such a lovely evening. Went to my friends and had a great time talking with everyone and enjoying some yummy food. I had a great conversation about minimalist societies and how we as a society are each taking too much and giving too little. Little one enjoyed playing with some other little ones and all in all it was a lovely time.0
