Well, hubbies wages went in today and with his commission i think we'll be ok this month. Hoping that we can break even this month and still manage to pay some off the credit cards. We have managed to pay £125 as an OP hoping that we can increase this over the next few months once the CC are paid off. Hope you guys are all well and happy in money saving land x0

Morning all, been neglecting my money saving ways and it shows. My bank balance is low, my stress levels are high and I'm jumping back on the wagon. I have a beautiful little girl who i'm struggling to see because i'm always working. We need money but we need to spend time together as a family more. I am looking at cutting my hours which the company i work for are being really rubbish about. They will let me cut hours, but not necessarily days so i could end up spending the same on petrol as i do now and earn less money. The hours have also changed. I used to do 6-2 now it's all sorts of shifts and I can't sort the childcare out around mine and hubby's jobs. So plan is...
Find a new job, 3-4 days a week, either school hours, early hours, or, if 3 days then i can do 9-5.
Sort budget and get rid of waste...contact lenses might have to go
Sort menu and food bill. I seem to be spending more and more on food and still don't know what to cook.
Right, off out for last day of family fun before back to work Monday0 -
Good to see you back and well done on posting and recognising its all looking a bit fragile. Sympathise I really do, juggling used to be my middle name and whilst its different now, as kids are older, family has different needs eg. support with homework, or getting to places there are still a lot of plates in the air!
Posting regularly has got me through..and to being DF..hope it does the same for you and you get to be MF soonMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Morning all, well this was this morning...
1. Chased up HMRC for a refund of about £80 they owe me.
2. Switched gas and electric to e-on to save about £11 a month.
3. Husband wanted to go to town and buy a new game so made him sort out some DVD's to trade in against the cost.
4. Checked my mobile bill and realised how much i'm spending really, thought it was about £15 a month, but actually nearer £22, so I've switched off my answerphone as at was costing 30p a time to check it and am hoping now i'm a bit more aware i'll be more careful with my free minutes.
5. Did two lots of washing and put out to dry.
6. Hoovered downstairs.
7. Washed pots.
Not too bad at all, think if I can bring the mobile bill down by £7 a month, and save the £11 on the gas and electric that's £18 a month or £216 a year. With the refund from HMRC i feel like i'vesaved £300 this morning!
Now sitting drinking a coffee and watching tv til hubby comes home with little one, think i've earned it0 -
8. Rang up and suspended my contact lense payments for 6 months, i have a tonne to use up a only wear them occasionally. So that's another £27 a month saved. That's £162 over the next 6 months so total of over £450 saved this morning! On it Big style!0
