    Hi Muxtonman :)

Is it the webpage itself eg design that you were looking for comments on, or the products themselves?

I have only just found this thread, I have a shop on Folksy selling things like cushions, quilts and bags, that kind of thing. I would love to get into doing craft fairs, had one lined up for August and started making some smaller bits and pieces to sell there but looks like it is going to be cancelled due to lack of support. I have found another one which doesnt yet have a date but says sometime in the summer and they will let me know. Now I have found another lot which have them monthly but they say you need full insurance. Do all of you who do craft fairs have insurance? I have looked online and found one site that offer insurance for craft stall holders, its £43 for one day or £125 for a year. I have just done a quote on Compare the market which came back at £75 for a year but I would have to ring to make sure they cover craft fair stalls. This is a big expense to add on to the price of a stall when I have never done a craft fair before and not even sure if I would have any buyers. I would love to hear on how you have all done with this please.

I have thought about selling on Facebook, I have a fan page on there already supposed to be for promoting my Folksy shop, it has over 100 likes but the posts I do dont go out to everybody so it seems a bit of a waste of time.

I have found the Folksy shop to be very poor, not sure if its just my items or the lack of promotion for them. I have very low funds so not able to pay out for advertising or anything like that. I was lucky last year to have one sale per month but this year I have gone two months now without a sale at all.

Beccie - My wife does the silhouette cuts - what do you think of them? and I did the website - again what do you think?

Regarding the other lady comments about insurance we got one for around £56 for year from G Imber Insurance - they do craft folk insurance.

A lot of places won't let you have stalls without insurance.

Just be careful also on craft and table top sales - craft are craft - some craft are listed as that but in the end we have found them like indoor car boots/table top sales, these are very low second hand goods sales and are no good for crafters in my opinion.

Thanks for that Muxtonman, I will have a look at the insurance company. Think I should wait until I get a stall booked before I get the insurance as I will be wasting the money if one doesnt come off for months. I am down in the Soth East in Kent and not really sure where to look for to find craft fairs.

Being very dense here I'm sure, but what exactly is it that you are needing to be insured against in these cases? :)
