Wow just had a catch up read on this thread
huge big welcome to all you newbies to the thread - you are all welcome here
Some great tips being posted, lovely pics and updates - thanks so much for sharingits great to see our wee community building!!
I think the last time i posted an update on here i was freaking out at my last fair :rotfl: well i managed to go to another one at the weekend with my mum and panicked a little less......I'm just all over the place at the minute but am glad to get to the fairs at the same time!! I sold a couple of little bits and mum sold some bits too so it was a reasonable day from that perspective. I have now agreed to do another one this weekend..........hahahaha i must be a glutton for punishment!!
Anyway, i'm going to try and get some more bits finished for this weekend - wish me luckxxx

Been reading the craft stuff - my wife started 3/4 months ago with silhouette in frames - we have done 3 craft fairs and tried to sell online on folksy.com and with a website and facebook but sadly its been very slow and only sold about 4 frames, maybe too dear?? what do you think??0

Can't give the website yet as a new user.....0

Can anyone tell me when you can post websites??0

Has anyone else had much luck with Folksy? Im not sure it is such a good platform, it seems to be perceived as a very expensive route to craft goods, my daughter is selling well on ebay, she does personalisation stuff and that seems to be the most popular goods at the moment. and is a website worth the money - any comments welcome0

Hope today I can have full access0

Be careful with posting a link to your own stuff, you may fall foul of the forum rules regarding advertising
You're allowed to have a link in your user profile though.
Welcome to MSE by the way0 -
May be you could try Etsy.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Muxtonman - if you add your site to your profile we can have a look that way. At the minute i would say a lot of crafters are finding it difficult to make many sales regardless of where they advertise/sell - personally i find folksy and etsy haven't worked for me (but then i haven't tried using them for long because of the fees).
Welcome to MSE and the thread
My wee update then:
I have backed out of doing the fair at the weekend again! I have had a family bereavement and although it isn't someone i know all that well i am feeling the impact of it this week so have decided to not put myself under pressure.
Today i am working on adding an edging to a latch hook rug i finished some time ago - have been putting it off for ages so time to bite the bullet on that one.
Also have managed to get myself another couple of orders on fbNow i just need to get them done!! LOL!

What crafts do you all do? Obviously you don't have to answer, just thought it would be interesting. Sorry if it has been covered before.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
