that sounds great FC
We went and bought my birthday present today... A singer confidence 7463 sewing machine! SO EXCITED! Please don't tell me if it's rubbish as I'm happy with itWe weren't going to spend that much money on one, but the difference in quality between that and the other two the man had was visible even to our amateur eyes. Can't wait to crack it open!

Happy birthday PB. It's my birthday soon and I think one of my presents from my other half will be a pair of Irregular Choice shoes cos Ive wanted some for ages but not been able to afford them. Now there's a company to aspire to- I remember coming across them as a brand new company nearly nine years ago and now they're a designer label and in shoe shops everywhere!
Yesterday I was so busy and yet I barely seemed to get anything done. I did make two pictures and finish a Peppa Pig cushion though and I'll stick pics up at some point. Plan for today is to work on some tiles that were ordered on Monday - very time consuming to make, hopefully finish another patchwork cushion Ive started on and I have lots to list on my website too. I think I will be getting another tile order later as well due to a customer phonecall requesting fabric samples on Monday and she should get them today. I know she will be buying and from the sounds of it, pretty quickly too. Business is really starting to pick up now.
I must tell you about a fabric delivery that arrived yesterday. It came on rolls so the package was huge considering there were only around 13 metres of fabric! I've got some absolutely stunning new prints though. I'm like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to fabric. I'm obsessed!
Anyway, time to pull myself away from mse and get on with some real work!0 -
Oh really looking forward to seeing your new things SD and the fabric
i get all excited with fabric and wool oh and beads
I have dissected purple elephant AGAIN!!! lol i just wasn't happy with it and so there was no point in leaving it the way it was - i just wouldn't have been happy even posting pics of him the way he was! He now looks like this:
I finished knitting a rug - just need to sew in the tails etc and will take some pics of that, and i started knitting a bag with t-shirt sytle yarnthis is it so far:

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your words of encourage. I really needed them as I was feeling very down after the diasterous weekend I had so they are very much appreciated.
Well I've had a couple of days off and made a scrapbook page in this time (felt I needed to make something for pleasure and not have to rush and this was just teh ticket!!).
I've got to finish off the wedding shop order over the next couple of days so that will keep me busy up until the weekend.
I also need to replenish my local shop who sells my items on a sale or return basis and the good news is that a friend of mine has been asked by a friend of hers if she can stock my items in her gift shop which she is opening in the next large village along so that's helped to restore my confidence in my abilities a bit more too.
Fairy - Loving the elephant - even though it is pieces and the handbag looks like its gonna be good too xxxx
PB - happy birthday. Enjoy your sewing machine. I hated sewing until recently and my new machine certainly restored my love again - so enjoy xxx
Simply - Sounds like the coasters and your business is really taking off. Well done you xxx
My Hubby is off to Australia on Friday to work for three weeks so am looking forward to the evenings when I can craft away to my hearts content without getting shouted at for leaving a trail of stash all around the house!!!!
Well happy crafting everyone. xxxxxMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Lovely to see you post again crafting
i'm glad you had some 'me' time and fun with your scrapbook! Great news about the gift shop too
It really does knock your confidence when you have a bad day (or weekend) doesn't it??? Seems to come with the territory unfortunately - we all need to learn to believe in ourselves more don't we?
I have been having some fun myself today - been playing around with the website and this is what i have come up with so far: https://www.funkyjunkcrafts.com still need to add bits and bobs and descriptions etc but think i have the layout the way i want........for today anyway :rotfl::rotfl:Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go

Hi
Sorry for asking to join then disappearing! I had a major flare up but I'm ok again now and managed to get a couple of things finished. Not that they were on my original list to finish though!
I find that crafting helps me to feel better as it is something I really love that I do for me. I love seeing what everyone has been up to, everyone is really talented and creative.
Not sure how to put up pics can anyone explain?0 -

You need to host them on a site like photobucket.com (free and fairly easy to use). One it is loaded on there when you choose to view your "album", hover over the picture and codes pop up underneath. You need to copy the one that starts

I have a few unfinished crafts. I get seduced by new ones so never complete!
I have:
1 unfinished knitted bag
1 summer top
A few cross stitches.
I probably need to set some goals.
Will report back when I have made some progress!0
