    Hello everyone,

    Loving the cushion simply xxx

Quick update from me today as I am sooooooo behind!!!!

I managed to make and package on 23rd April:-

    32 x Felt Keyrings

    Total made 23rd March - 32

my to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 400/825 - Still to make 425 - Days Left 4!!!!!

I was up most of the night with my little man as he has a stinking cold and hacking cough so I don't think he will be going to school today (seeing as its chucking it down here and his lovely school leave them outside playing at breaks and lunchtimes in it!!!!). This might well be another reason to slow me down today but my family will always come first xxx:)

I am setting myself targets and I love the idea of a morning, afternoon and evening targets as I think this will really help me. The only trouble is I can't seem to meet my targets!!! - Yesterday's was 75 - oh well!!!!!

    Happy crafting everyone xxx

Keep pushing through crafting and I hope your little man feels better soon. It's awful when they're ill and you can't do much for them.

I've got two pictures to make and post today and I started on a Peppa Pig cushion last night. Off to the dentist this afternoon because I've had the worst toothache since Saturday and now I can't eat or even open my mouth  my other half is loving the silence lol. Then I'm going to get my beloved phone fixed so I can have internet access without constantly having my laptop out! Oh and I've also got some coasters to make, new designs and some that were won in a give away.

Last of all - Vintage, you won a prize in my give away so please get in touch with your address so I can post your prize xx

Have a great day peeps x

Hello everyone :) I haven't run away honest!!! lol to be truthful i have been sleeping a LOT - obviously the activities of last week took their toll even though it was good to get doing them! It seems so odd to me to need 2 or 3 days to recover from going to a craft fair but hey ho thats just how it is at the minute. There has also been an awful situation where people were just getting ridiculously b!!t!!!y over a comment my friend made about the Sat fair - all she said was she had an awful day and she has been verbally attacked and told her stuff is rubbish then etc etc :( instead of just accepting it as 'one of those things' it just got blown completely out of proportion - I can't stand all that nonsense and have been trying to be peacemaker while also trying to protect my friend - its awful sometimes how a simple comment can lead to craft war :o wonder is that where war craft came from??? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: anyway i am really really hoping that is the end of it!

SD - your cushion is absolutely brilliant :D I am sure that one won't sit around for long!!! Well Done :) I couldn't hand sew something like that to save my life :rotfl::rotfl: Hope your trip to the dentist eases the toothache - you really are having a time of it at the minute aren't you?? Big Hugs and hope you feel better soon xx

Beccie - your list sounds great :) and brill too that your friend and you can share the table! Something i would suggest before you go with it being your first one is to have a bit of a practice set up - not so you can plan where everything goes exactly, but so you can judge if you need some things for your display - to prop things up or raise a bit etc - hope that makes sense! Am really looking forward to seeing your stuff :D xx

Crafting - So sorry to hear about your little one being ill :( Hope he bounces back in no time the way only kids can do :) and fingers crossed for you for getting lots done (though how this would work with a little sick boy in the house, i don't know!!) - you will get done what you get done at the end of the day and you can do no more than try to get through your list - its not worth pushing yourself too hard for either. You are doing brilliantly to have got so much done already :T:T

My update then is simple - i have been twiddling about with web stuff, built and rebuilt a site and i still don't have what i want - i am happy to keep twiddling until i am happy with it though - its good fun :D SD thanks for the offer to help - i may have some questions for you once i figure out what it is i want to do :rotfl::rotfl: will be useful to be able to chat about it all :D

Also, i have just started a new patchwork bag today - am pleased with how its looking so far :) will post some pics of progress! Oh and purple elephant is still sitting staring at me....well he would be if he had eyes :o hahahaha!

Happy making everyone - may your pins all be the right direction and your seams keep themselves straight :D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: xxx

    Morning,

This morning I have woken up with a feeling of absolute dread. Not about getting all the things made in time (although I am getting a worried about that too) but about the fair being an absolute disaster!!! The stall was really expensive at £235 for two days  and I'm now really worried that I wont make that figure back yet alone make any money!!!!

Hopefully it will be ok and as my hubby always says you have to speculate to accumolate. Hes right behind me anyway on this one (well he has to be as it was his idea in the first place :D)

Anyway the good news is that my little man is feeling a lot better and he managed to sleep all through night so that is brilliant news. He wants to go back to school today so at least I should have the whole day to be able to get lots done.

I did manage to make and package on 24th April:-

    4 x Felt Bookmarks

    10 x 3D cards

    Total made 23rd March - 14

my to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 414/825 - Still to make 411 - Days Left 3!!!!!

Wow at least my made total is now larger than my "to make" total :o

I've got a good feeling about today. I'm gonna set a target of 75 items again for today and just hope that I make it.

Thank you all so much for your encouragement. It is making this all seem a bit less daunting xx

Well better go - kids breakfast is calling (actually they are calling with "I'm hungry - but thats mainly what they say all day anyway!!!)

    Happy crafting xx

  • My love for crafting has overruled my lack of motivation and I have done a few bits today. I've made some coasters.20120425_165942n.jpg20120425_170014.jpg
A picture for my bathroom. 20120425_170102.jpg
And I have started on the bits and bobs cushion which I was a bit dubious about at first but it's looking fab already! Fantastic way to use up little scraps of fabric, although it is very time consuming. I also find cushions a good way to use old curtains. I'm definitely enjoying making it though and I will probably make lots of them.20120425_130503.jpg

    Morning fellow crafters,

I had a good day yesterday and really got down and dirty making things.

I manage to make and package on 25th April:-

    16 x Cards

    7 x Decorative Clips

    2 x Notepads

    7 x Coasters

    3 x Hairbobbles

    5 x Felt Mirrors

    4 x Hairbands

    11 x Felt Owls

25 x Window Cling Decorations (actually I cheated a bit with these as I found some I had already made and not packaged up so packaged them and they are now ready for sale xxx) :p

9 x Mint Tins (cheated as above but at least it makes my total look lots better) :p

    Total made 24rd April - 89 :D

my to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 503/825 - Still to make 322 - Days Left 32!!!!
Well I think it is going to be an impossible task to finish everything in time now but I have got a good amount of stock and 200 of the items were for the wedding shop order which technically is not need until after the big craft fair so can I have an extension of time for these? Pretty please xxxx ;)

    Happy crafting everyone

  • Oo-er crafting! I am happy to allow the extension if others are?! To be fair, given your circumstances I think you've done very well.
I've got three pictures, two coasters and some earrings to do today for orders and then I'll be continuing with the cushion. Did more on it last night and it's looking even better! Would have been easier with an embroidery ring so I think I may end up buying one of those.
Need to fit in as much Lionbridge as possible too but there's not much work about.

    Morning everyone,

Well I've woken up to a beautiful sunny day (at the moment) and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will stay like it all weekend. I don't feel like being in a marquee for the whole two days whilst there is a storm outside!!!

Think I had another good day yesterday getting my head down and getting lots of things off the list.

I manage to make and package on 26th April:-

    6 x Coasters

    4 x Decorative Clips

    10 x Felt Hair Bands

    16 x Notepads

    14 x Felt Pencil Toppers

    2 x Hair Clips

    17 x 3D Cards

    13 x Mirrors

    10x Cards

    Total made 26th April - 92:D

My to do list now looks like this

825 Items in 14 days challenge

    Made 595/825 - Still to make 230 - Days Left 1!!!!

Well I'm feeling a little bit better than yesterday as I had a trial run yesterday setting things out and even if I don't get around to making anymore things, I have enough to fill my 8ft stall so now I just have to hope that people will buy some things xxxx

    Happy crafting xxx

  • Spent the afternoon at my friends yesterday... we made 4 small wheatbags with kiddy covers, I made a bigger one for her (no pic), a peg bag for her DH and I drew an anchor to try to make a pattern for a cushion cover.... not much but it's a start. I also ordered some iron on polka dot heart cut outs to put on to my cushion covers I made a while ago.

Any ideas as to what sells quite well? We are obviously starting off quite small but there are just so many things to make, we don't know where to start... :o

Wow everyone is doing lots - especially you crafting - you deserve a medal for getting so much done!!!!! and yes you can definitely have an extension :) I think it is more than deserved!!

Well i have done nothing  actually thats not quite true i have been doing webstuff and have arranged an online craft fair :D this one is just for Ireland but if it goes well i may just arrange a UK and Ireland one :)

Oh yes and i have bought lots of stuff as well :o got a bit click happy on ebay :eek: I hardly even remember what i bought now and am scared to look :rotfl::rotfl:

I have also been spending an hour a day in the dreaded room of doom!! It is starting to look a bit more like a room that i will be able to use........i have to sneak more boxes out into the garage though hahahaha!

I have also arranged to go to a car boot sale tomorrow - i am hoping to get rid of lots of stuff there as i haven't been for so long. Mind you i don't even know where my tables are right now so will have to do some organising for that. I know it seems off the craft challenge, but it is about getting that room emptied out and use able and then (hopefully) i will be able to concentrate on making things :D
