I am a self confessed craftaholic - I literally will have a go at practically any sort of craft and am always finding new things to 'play' with. As a result I have numerous unfinished projects, boxes of craft materials, books and patterns. I really could open my own craft shop :rotfl::rotfl:
I am really, really sure I am not on my own with my half finished project affliction
and so with an aim to actually finish some things in the not too distant future I thought it would be fun to start a crafting challenge
If you have any craft related projects on the go, or like me have a dozen plus projects on the go why not join me, share your updates and enjoy some general crafting chat

Ok so when i said i had lots of unfinished craft projects on the go i really wasn't joking
The list includes (but is not limited to) the following:
1. The purple elephant
2. Sailor Ted
3. [STRIKE]Cord Ted[/STRIKE] done :j
4. Multi coloured jacket
5. Aran cardie
6. latch hook rug
7. crocheted bags for life - 2 of these
8. paper waste basket
9. Red crochet Top
10. Patchwork Bag
11. [STRIKE]Fluffy Bag[/STRIKE] done :j
12. Ceramic projects - too many to list off the top of my head
I knew I could list at least 12 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So, I'm one of those people that tends to work on a few different things at once, and at the minute i am working on the fluffy bag, the cord ted, the purple elephant and the patchwork bag. All of them are in the last stages so really shouldn't take me that long to finish.
Today i have managed to finish the knitting part of the fluffy bag and just need to finish the sewing up bit now - not my favourite bit i have to say :rotfl: but I WILL do it
Looking forward to hearing about everyone else's projects and progressDebt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go

that puts my unfinished stuff into perspective. I have the following:
1 baby cardi that needs buttons
1 baby cardi that needs knitting up
1 adult aran jumper half knitted to finish for a September birthday
1 adult cardi that needs unpicking again
1 crochet throw half done
1 crochet throw that I made 40 years ago and now unpicking to remake. I think there is probably more but need to have a good rummage.
Besides which, I have stacks of unused yarn, drawers full of fabric and an endless supply of ribbons, lace etc. I even have a couple of pieces of purple chiffon that were wrapped round Cadbury's posh Easter eggs many years ago. I do get an occasional burst of inspiration but that comes few and far between. Unless I am doing for someone else, I tend to get distracted and half way through a project I am thinking about the next one.0 -

Aw welcome to the challenge pastdasoup- I knew I couldn't possibly be the only one :rotfl: I am glad my list made you feel better about yours
and when i read yours i remembered about a crocheted throw i started to do about 10 years ago :rotfl::rotfl: I am a bit scared to go rummaging to be honest because I know there will be more
In fact when looking for the purple elephant i just happened upon a wee doggy jacket i started maybe about a month or 6 weeks ago
Any idea which one of your unfinished projects you would like to work on first?
Today i want to do some more of the doggy jacket (cos its got the needles i need to finish the elephant in use). Took me most of the day to find the patterns i was using so am off to do a few rows

Depends on how stretchy, if it stretches one way or two and how much of it you have! You wanted to make an apron with it didn't you? if its not overly thick you could put a backing on it to stop it stretching out of shape. Is it clothing you want to make or furnishings or small things like toys etc?Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go
