Decent laptop 289.99 for first 250 cust [CLOSED]

Mine came from Ebuyer. I have noticed something, though. My connection is stable unless I use a lot of CPU. For example, if I'm burning a DVD, my connection drops right down. Repair always fixes it, mind you. If I'm not straining the CPU, the connection is fine.


Forgot to add that my laptop developed a massive problem last night. All of a sudden, it crashed. Then it wouldn't boot up in any way, shape or form. It no longer saw the HDD. The error message I got was that there was a media error (check cables). So, I took the whole damn thing apart, fiddled with all the connections, including the HDD. Oddly enough, the HDD wasn't loose at all. However, when I put the thing back together, it booted up without problem. Strange, eh?

I know the Intel 2200 card can be switched off using the software supplied with the card and can also be configured to save power as well

Where did you get your antennas from, I can connect to the internet but the range of reception seems to be really limited. I got mine from clonepony on ebay and I am beginning to suspect that problem might be due to the antennas.

Mine looks used too looks like Calibrax got his from the other seller judging from the photos... and hes not had a problem

DJ got his from the other seller, too, yet is experiencing the same problems. I got mine from Clone Pony and am not having any problems with them other than those previously described. I'd say it's mor a compatibility issue between the minipci card and the AMD-based laptop. The minipci card instructions are quite specific about this card being only for those Centrino lappies.

I already had a wifi usb adapter, its a tiny thing that plugs into the usb, I have it networked with my main pc upstairs which is on the internet. I dont have any probs what so ever connecting. I even took it to a freinds house and connected to his wifi network and was brilliant too. I get nearly 2 hours out of the battery surfing the internet via the wifi adapter aswell.

I only payed £9.99 for the adapter too from ebuyer.

I would recomend this method
