MyUserNamesTaken wrote:It's been fine since I moved the antennae and patched it. No drop outs or speed drops at all. I did notice that the pic on the website showed only one antenna! The laptop's been fine in all ways.
 I'm having probelms with my wireless minipci + antennae setup.
The minipci was installed and recognised ok, I then fitted the 2 wires (pretty much as Calibrax described (thanks again for that!) in his previous post in page 59... but I am dropping connection and generally unstable. (had no probs when tried with a Belking USB adapter)
I physically swapped the wires around, and still the same thing...
...very frsutrating... can't think of anything else...
unless it's down to teh quality of the antennae themsleves? I got mine form "clonepony" at ebay

I just want to check I can safely delete the related shortcuts off the desktop, and the following folders in Windows Explorer?
Programs
AOL9
AOL Companion
Apps
DEMOAOL9
CLICKME
NIS
Any Ideas?
Edit: And another question, the write speed of the cd/dvd writer is what?

yep, got the 2200BG from ebuyer. I think that the problem lies with the set up not the adapter itself. Am gonna try again with a fresh XP install and let you know...0 -

Ta Very Much
I removed all the Norton stuff a while past, using the advice here. Discovered the NIS folder yesterday. All it contains is an "ALERTS" folder and a "MANUAL" folder.
I guess the two folders were simply left behind by the uninstall process. The MSE Dictionary
