y does the fab come on so much for 20 seconds any 1 no where the settings are for the fan would like it togo on longer to cool down instead of it coming every 5 mins on hate the sound of it lol

You can't change the settings. Because if you could, no doubt someone would turn it off, and the processor would melt.

If you don't like the noise of the fan, put some music on

but does your latop get very hot then then fan kicks in every 3 mins?? might have to get a mini air con for it or some small fan 2 cool it

Yes it does, but that's normal - my Dell laptop does the same thing. Don't worry about it, it doesn't need extra cooling, the fan only comes on when required. If it was on all the time, it would run your battery down very quickly.

And anyway, if you are unhappy about the noise already, then you certainly won't be any happier after adding more fans!

Hi,

Over the weekend I took the laptop out and set it up. I noticed that it is supposed to come with Microsoft Works but there was no CD or anything similar included with the laptop. Can anyone else confirm whether they received this CD? Also has anyone else got any instructions? The instructions included in mine relate to a PC not a laptop so its not very useful.

problem i made a master cd and i put it on a rw to test if my rewriter is working now i cant make another master cd as i have already made 1 and is saying that master cd created sucessfully i want to make a master cd on a dvd-r so i have it for ever

OK Guys, I have missed this thread, lol.

I received my wireless mini PCI card today from ebuyer and the antennas from ebay yesterday and was looking forward to some internal wi-fi action but it didnt go quite as planned. All installed sweet with latest drivers and it connected straight away. All seemed fine until I started to stray away from the room with the wireless router in.
Dispite it still recording full signal strength the Data rate was dropping as low as 1Mbps (so dispite it looking fine it was suffering behind the scenes) I have tried different config's of the antennas within the housing and it still cant match the Bellin PC card I had before (That wouldnt drop from 54Mbps anywhere within my apartment)

You peeps that have done the internal job......whats your feedback now after youve had time to play?
