Because I have kids and I am bloody concerned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And if other parents felt the same we COULD make a difference. So because we are living in a world where no-one cares about the damage we are doing to our kids, should we just not care? I am a MUM so i will ALWAYS care.
Secondly a landline IS cheaper. if you go to talk Talk, you can get your lanline, broadband, all local calls free 24/7 and all national 0870 and 0845 numbers free weekends and evenings. All for £13 a month. So sorry, against your costing thats a saving of almost £100 a year, enough for a holiday. And that's WITHOUT doing any harm.
Sorry, I don;t want to cause further "upset"but when things affect my kids I get very angry when people are so blase and bury their heads in the sand because they don't want to change their lifestyles. We were blase about cigarettes before people realised the harm they did. I know there are people out there who still smoke in the house around their kids and we'll never change that. but anyone who IS concerned about their kids being passive smokers believe me the EMFs (not radio waves, thats different) are a far bigger and MASSIVE cause for concern.
It's not 'upset'. If it's something that concerns you then vent it, its what the thread is for.
Most of my calls are not local so would be chargeable and this address has never had a landline so there'd be a huge installation fee for BT to put a line in to consider. I also would then not have any ability to phone anyone when out which is important to me.
Most the people with kids down my street claim they are too busy to recycle rubbish which is likely to affect their kids in later life so how are you going to make them change something they can't even see?
I have no idea about EMF and its health risks. Scientists still seem to be sitting on the fence too. I almost always use a headset these days anyway so hopefully this will prevent me microwaving my brain a bit at least.0 -
Calmspirit
The more time I have spent here the more I have realised how briefly I have been with you all and how thick and deep the bonds have become that some here share. Everybody is here because of their own reasons and circumstances but through this forum have found support, community and friendship.
One of the key things with this community is that impact people can have on people's lives without realising it, by being here when someone is going through something, providing encouragement and companionship, though they may not know or be told how important it is.
In the time I have been here I genuinely feel you are one of these people, who affect the lives of the people in this community and as much as it is important to you, you are important to it.
So to add a sentiment to the increasing wave of support that is beginning here for you, please do not go. You would be tearing yourself from something you are a part of and something important to you and the things one person has said to you should not take all of that from you.

Another exciting post! Face cloths for 25p seen in Irlam (salford) branch! They're not the finest branded ones and neither are they the value ones but the nice fluffy middle ground! Still a quid online so not sure if nationwide.

Hi all,
I've just had a call from my insurance company saying that my car has been involved in an accident which has injured someone. It was in Southampton and I am in Manchester and its nothing to do with me but I am really panicking. I changed insurance companies on 28th March and they have said the incident happened on 31st march - I've just spoken to my friend and she things its dodgy because they don't normally really you they would write and also its suspect that I've just changed insurance companies she has said I should ring the police as it may be fraud- has anyone had experience of this? I'm getting myself all worked up about it worrying now
Sorry not had chance to catch up yet but hope everyone else is okErm I'm not sure if I've got the hang of this money saving.....I seem to be spending more money buying 'bargains' that I don't really need - oops!!0 -

Morning all!
Has anyone not received any LTS vouchers yet? I'm starting to get a bit worried, I am only waiting on one £25 one as my £15 one was cancelled but there's been no sign.
I was thinking they are maybe doing it alphabetically by surname, mine on SSM is W...........I'm starting to lose hope of getting it........
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -
